The Team:

The Global Marketing & Digital Wealth organization at BlackRock is a forward-looking, globally connected team at the center of the firm’s most high-impact priorities. We are architects of growth, working across functions and markets to unlock opportunities and accelerate outcomes for the business. In collaboration with both internal and external partners, we design the conditions for success—delivering next-generation campaigns, brand platforms, communications, training, and client experiences. Our work is powered by world-class centers of excellence spanning content strategy, research & analytics, and digital platforms & experiences.

Role and Impact:

We are seeking a Director to lead marketing strategy and execution for two priority institutional client segments: Single Family Offices (Family Capital) and Endowments & Foundations.

This role is responsible for translating firm, product, and client priorities into segmented, insight led marketing strategies and campaigns that drive engagement with highly sophisticated, long term investors. The Director will partner closely with client business leaders, product teams, investment teams, and marketing colleagues to ensure that marketing activity is aligned to priority investment themes, tailored to distinct client needs, and executed with precision.

The successful candidate will bring strong strategic judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to operate across content, events, campaigns, and analytics in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain clear segment narratives that bring together the firm’s full platform—public and private markets, tax‑aware solutions, data, and technology—into a cohesive and differentiated story for each audience.
  • Translate segmentation insights into actionable plans that define target audiences, messaging, channel mix, and annual sequencing.

Campaigns, Content & Experiences

  • Lead the design and execution of integrated marketing campaigns aligned to priority investment themes and product platforms.
  • Oversee the development of senior‑level thought leadership, partnering with investment teams and research contributors to ensure content is rigorous, differentiated, and relevant to CIO‑level audiences at Single Family Offices and E&Fs.
  • Drive high‑touch client experiences, including proprietary forums, curated regional events, and strategic industry moments tailored to each segment’s engagement model.
  • Ensure coordinated amplification across owned, earned, and paid channels, including email, digital, social, media, and events.

Product & Priority Alignment

  • Partner closely with product, sales, and client businesses to ensure marketing plans are aligned to the firm’s product and priority framework, with clear focus on highest‑priority platforms and capabilities.
  • Balance long‑term brand building with near‑term commercial priorities, sequencing campaigns to support investment themes and launches.

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define and oversee performance tracking across campaigns and segments, including engagement, lead quality, and client interaction metrics.
  • Use data and insights to refine strategies, improve effectiveness, and inform future planning cycles.
  • Contribute to marketing scorecards and regular reporting used in senior‑level discussions.

Core Skills:

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as a senior marketing partner to client business leadership, providing clear recommendations and points of view.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams and agency partners, influencing without direct authority.
  • Support the development of team members and contribute to raising strategic standards across segment marketing.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools with fluency and agility, showing adaptability, critical thinking, and the ability to learn in evolving environments.
  • Embodies an AI-ready mindset through curiosity, eagerness, and being an early adopter.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, strategy, or client engagement within asset management, financial services, or a related institutional environment.
  • Strong understanding of Single Family Offices and/or Endowments & Foundations, including their governance models, investment decision making, and information needs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading integrated marketing strategies across content, events, and multi channel campaigns.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, compelling narratives for senior audiences.
  • Proven ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders and facilitate discussions with investment, product, and client teams.
  • Experience leveraging AI and advanced tools to improve marketing effectiveness, including content development, audience targeting, personalization, analytics, and workflow efficiency.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort using data to inform decisions and evaluate impact.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed organization and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
