About Lovesac

We are a young-at-heart, fast-growing furniture company, dedicated to helping people fill their homes with Total Comfort™. We do this by designing and innovating furniture solutions that are adaptable, washable, expandable, and delivered right-to-your-door-able, allowing our customers to live the life they want to live.

Our Designed for Life mission started with Sacs, a seat so much better than your classic beanbag made with repurposed Durafoam and designed to reduce environmental impact while providing unimaginable, cloud-like comfort. From there, we expanded the possibility for sustainable furniture with Sactionals, a customizable modular sectional that can be endlessly rearranged to evolve with you. Our product line has grown a lot since our Sacs days, but our goal will always remain the same – to create truly adaptable, comfortable furniture that can be with you for life.

About our Culture

At Lovesac, we strive to be an employer of choice by embodying a culture that encourages team members to think and dream big. We call this Top Ambition. We aim to not only excel within our industry but also make a meaningful impact on the world. Above all else, we’re driven by love (because it matters) and are dedicated to promoting love and happiness in all aspects of our work. It’s about success, of course, but it’s also about making a positive impact on everyone our business touches.

About the Role

As Director, Marketing FP&A, you will serve as the primary financial business partner to the Chief Brand and Marketing Officer and their Leadership Team.  You will lead the integrated financial view of revenue, gross margin, eCommerce, category performance and marketing investment, connecting brand and demand-generation choices to enterprise financial outcomes. You will bring forward-looking insight, disciplined modeling and constructive challenge to help leaders allocate resources, manage risk and accelerate profitable growth

This position is remote and will report into Lovesac Corporate HUB based in Stamford, CT.  Candidates must fully reside in the United States at all times during employment and should have the ability to travel as needed.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Business Partnership & Integrated Planning

  • Act as a trusted advisor and constructive challenger to the Chief Brand and Marketing Officer and Marketing Leadership Team, translating business strategies into financial implications, choices and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and long-range planning for Marketing, eCommerce, Merchandising and Planning in alignment with the company’s consolidated financial plan and planning calendar.
  • Develop top-down revenue, gross-margin, and OPEX plans and scenario models that connect traffic, conversion, average order value, units, price, product mix, promotions, channel mix and marketing investment to enterprise outcomes.
  • Synthesize actual performance, forecast changes, risks and opportunities into clear recommendations for senior leadership; maintain decision-ready financial bridges and management reporting.

Revenue, Gross Margin, Category and eComm Economics

  • Own the finance perspective on revenue and gross-margin performance across categories and channels, including eCommerce financials, category financial plans and cross-channel profitability.
  • Build category and enterprise financial bridges that isolate the impact of volume, price, mix, promotions, markdowns, returns, product cost and channel shifts on revenue and gross margin.
  • Evaluate pricing, assortment, product mix, marketing spend, promotional cadence and channel strategies; quantify trade-offs and recommend actions that improve profitable growth and margin quality.
  • Model eCommerce performance and economics, including traffic, conversion, average order value, customer acquisition cost, returns, fulfillment impacts and contribution margin where data is available.
  • Partner closely with Merchandise Planning to reconcile bottom-up merchandise plans with top-down company revenue and gross-margin expectations; pressure-test assumptions, identify gaps and ensure the plan can support enterprise commitments.
  • Provide independent financial challenge while preserving clear accountability: Merchandise Planning owns the detailed merchandise plan, and FP&A owns integration with and visibility to the total company financial plan.

Marketing Investment and Performance

  • Lead financial planning and ongoing management of the marketing budget, including spend pacing, forecasts, commitments and reallocation recommendations across channels and initiatives.
  • Develop ROAS, ROI and incrementality analyses that connect media and marketing investments to demand, revenue, gross margin, customer acquisition and longer-term customer value.
  • Partner with Marketing and Analytics leaders to establish common assumptions, measurement standards and performance scorecards for brand, performance media, partnerships, content and customer programs.
  • Assess the financial impact of promotions before and after launch, including demand lift, cannibalization, pull-forward, margin dilution, customer behavior and inventory implications.
  • Evaluate business cases for new campaigns, capabilities, partnerships, vendors and growth initiatives; define expected returns and support post-investment reviews.

Forecasting, Governance and Team Leadership

  • Partner with Corporate FP&A, Accounting and cross-functional finance leaders during monthly close, quarterly forecasting, annual planning and long-range planning to ensure assumptions and results are accurate, timely and consistent.
  • Support public-company reporting and leadership materials by providing clear analysis of Marketing, eCommerce, category, revenue and gross-margin performance, including key drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Create scalable models, dashboards and planning routines that improve forecast accuracy, speed and transparency; maintain clear documentation and appropriate financial controls.
  • Lead, coach and develop an Analyst, setting clear standards for analytical quality, business partnership and execution.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor, act with integrity and manage issues professionally and respectfully in accordance with Lovesac’s values and company standards.
  • Perform other reasonable duties aligned with this role as requested by management.
