The Opportunity:

Shutterstock is looking for an experienced Sales Director to run the sales team for the DACH and BeNeLux region. This person will be responsible for helping to develop and execute new business opportunities through their Business Development Managers, as well as grow existing enterprise accounts within the region with the dedicated Solutions Managers in their team.

The primary objectives of the Shutterstock Sales Director are to achieve revenue targets, drive customer satisfaction, grow market share, expand and grow the adoption of Shutterstock’s entire portfolio of content and products, and to build and lead a high performing sales team to help customers understand and realise the full potential of the Shutterstock collection and products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals
  • Manage team of 6-10 and delegate efficiently to drive the best possible strategy and processes
  • Manage the enterprise pipeline and ensure that the team has a sufficient pipeline to exceed revenue targets across all products (images, footage, music, editorial, digital asset management and custom photography)
  • Have holistic ownership of the entire Corporate vertical in their region, including Enterprises and SMB
  • Through training and setting up clear processes and guidelines ensuring that the right solutions are pitched to all clients at the right time
  • Mentor and develop skill sets and strategic thinking of sales teams
  • Build C-level relationships with various departments of key clients (Marketing, PR, Brand, Procurement)
  • Be the ambassador and brand advocate of Shutterstock in the corporate segment in the region, regularly attend and represent our brand at industry events
  • Play an intricate role in the development of enterprise sales products based on long term customer needs
  • Drive understanding of competitor strategies across enterprise sales landscape
  • Provide input on marketing and content strategies relevant to key customer segments
  • Act as an expert voice within the organisation for enterprise sales
  • Regular travel to New York HQ , London and other Shutterstock markets as required.

 Desired Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years sales management experience preferably from a background in SaaS, media or emerging technology
  • Ability to analyse sales statistics to determine business growth potential
  • Proven track record of successful sales exceeding goals and quotas
  • Proven track record of building sales team strategy and managing budgets
  • Ability to access high-level decision makers and sell enterprise level solutions to large organisations
  • Ability to understand customer’s unique needs and the different business models to customise deals to present solutions
  • Possesses a strong belief in and passion for Shutterstock's market value and potential
  • Understanding of cultural nuances that come with managing an international team
  • Experience selling across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands
  • Multi-lingual preferred (Dutch, French)
