Director of Demand Generation

Owning the demand plan and the pipeline it produces

The short version

The Nucleus team is on a mission to help organizations prevent breaches by automating risk-based vulnerability and exposure management at scale. Our products help some of the world’s largest companies, government organizations, and MSSPs solve real problems with the ever-increasing scope and complexity of managing vulnerabilities. Our approach is market-proven in a dynamic space that is growing every day, and we are excited to expand our team so we can make our full vision a reality.

We’re seeking a Director of Demand Generation to own our growth engine end to end: the plan, the budget, the campaigns, and the pipeline they produce. You’ll run integrated campaigns across paid, content, webinars, events, and email, personally build and optimize paid, and lead our Content and Events functions. We’re looking for someone with real paid and account-based chops who is comfortable in the data, already using AI to work faster, and ready to run a program without being managed through it.

What you’ll own

  • The demand plan and budget. Own the plan and the qualified pipeline target. Set channel budgets and conversion assumptions, forecast spend, hold agencies and vendors to their numbers, and shift budget toward what’s working.

  • Integrated campaigns. Plan and run campaigns across paid, content, webinars, events, email, and partner programs. Own the campaign calendar and the briefs behind it, and partner with Product Marketing on messaging and positioning.

  • Paid media performance. Direct our paid agency day to day across LinkedIn, Google, and display, and personally build and optimize campaigns. You set audiences, creative tests, budgets, landing pages, and conversion tracking.

  • Account-based (ABX) campaigns. Turn our named-account strategy into targeting, creative, and account-level reporting, using intent and account signals to move priority accounts through the funnel. You’ll own the reporting and the recommendation on where the program goes next.

  • The BDR interlock. Our BDR team sits alongside you in Marketing. You and the BDR Director agree on target accounts, engagement thresholds, sequence design, and follow-up standards, and you jointly own what happens between a first touch and a qualified opportunity.

  • Content and Events. Two direct reports, plus contractor and agency relationships. Content serves demand, SEO, AEO, sales enablement, and partner programs, and events supports commercial, federal, and partner conferences and regional events.

  • Measurement and funnel analysis. Evaluate lead quality, funnel conversion, opportunity progression, and won business. Separate sourced from influenced results, find the problems in the funnel, and fix them.

  • Web conversion and AI search visibility. Working with Content, improve conversion through the site and campaign assets, and grow our presence in AI-assisted discovery.

Who you are

  • Experience: 8+ years in B2B marketing with substantial ownership of demand generation, and 3+ years managing direct reports.
  • Pipeline track record: hard numbers showing qualified pipeline you produced through integrated B2B SaaS campaigns, and a clear account of the decisions behind them.
  • Paid media depth: hands-on ownership of LinkedIn and Google Ads at scale, recently. You can judge whether agency work is good and take it in-house if it isn’t.
  • Account-based experience: you’ve built and run account-based campaigns and can explain what worked, what didn’t, and how you knew.
  • Stack fluency: Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and GA4. Experience with ABX audience platforms like Primer, sales engagement tools like Outreach, and intent sources like G2 is a strong plus.
  • AI in your workflow: you use AI tools (such as Copilot) in your daily work, and you’ve put AI into real marketing workflows. You can tell us what you built, what it replaced, and what it produced.
  • Team leadership: you own execution while coaching a team, and you communicate clearly across Sales, BDR, and Product.
  • Self-directed: you thrive in a fast, fully remote, high-ownership environment.

Nice to have

  • Cybersecurity or another technical enterprise software market.

  • Federal or public sector marketing, and partner co-marketing programs.

  • Demo experience and conversion content optimization measured against pipeline, not form fills.

Why Nucleus

  • We transform vulnerability and exposure management programs to help enterprises and government agencies prioritize and mitigate risks faster, at scale.
  • How we work. We live a clear set of operating principles: teamwork where “it’s not my job” doesn’t exist, ownership through to completion, genuine care for one another, candid and respectful communication, and a bias toward innovation and automation. We have a lot to get done and we work hard, but we have fun doing it.
  • Benefits. Outstanding benefits, including flexible PTO, a 401(k) company contribution (not a match, a contribution), a generous education and training budget, 100% company-paid healthcare, and fully remote work.

At Nucleus we are committed to achieving excellence in our field by combining diversity, collaboration, teamwork, and pride in our work. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability.
