About the Role
Ana Luisa is looking for a hands-on Director of Planning to own demand and inventory planning across every channel we sell in: our e-commerce site, marketplaces, wholesale and department store partners, and a growing network of retail stores. You will decide what we buy, when we buy it, and which channel gets it when supply is tight.

We run planning today on spreadsheets, Looker, and a monthly S&OP cadence rather than a dedicated planning system — that's where you come in. We want someone who sees a manual process and builds the model or automation that removes it, not someone who waits for a system to be handed to them. A builder who is equally comfortable redesigning replenishment logic and personally placing this week's POs.

This role reports to the CEO, manages one Supply Chain Planner, and will grow the team as the planning function matures. You'll work directly with Merchandising, Sales, Retail, and Finance — this is a highly visible seat with real influence over how the business buys and grows.
Location: Ideal candidate lives in Midwest or Eastcoast.

In your first 6–12 months, you will likely:

  • Stand up a rolling demand forecast and inventory allocation model that replaces today's spreadsheet process
  • Run point on open-to-buy and constrained-inventory decisions across e-com, wholesale/department stores, marketplaces, and retail
  • Design automated replenishment logic for a fast-growing store fleet
  • Bring structure and rigor to the monthly S&OP cadence
What You'll Own

  • Demand forecasting: Own the consolidated rolling 12-month demand forecast across all channels — e-commerce, Amazon/FBA, marketplaces, wholesale, retail stores, and B2B. Own the forecasting methodology (statistical baseline + judgmental overlay) and drive forecast accuracy (MAPE/bias) by channel, with a formal accuracy-improvement roadmap.
  • S&OP leadership: Run the monthly S&OP process end to end with Merchandising, Sales, Retail, Operations, Production, and Finance — building consensus, surfacing risk, and holding the organization accountable to what was agreed.
  • Inventory allocation: Prioritize and allocate constrained inventory across channels: decide which channel gets the unit when demand exceeds supply, and defend that call commercially with data
  • Inventory investment & OTB: Own the annual inventory investment plan and open-to-buy, keeping purchasing within plan and aligned to the company's cash cycle and working capital targets.
  • Supply planning: Own reorder and production planning with suppliers — MOQs, lead times, PO timing, and expediting decisions — balancing service level against cash and freight cost.
  • Inventory health: Drive inventory turns and inventory health — A/B/C mix, aged and excess stock — and bring liquidation recommendations to Merch and Sales.
  • Replenishment automation: Design and implement automated replenishment for retail stores, Amazon FBA, and packaging components; own initial inventory allocation for new store openings
  • Systems & standards: Build the models, dashboards, and automation that run planning, plus the master data and process standards behind them.
  • Team leadership: Manage and develop the Supply Chain Planner; establish and drive the planning cadence that keeps cross-functional teams aligned and decision-read
What You'll Bring
  • 8+ years in demand, inventory, merchandise, or supply chain planning, including 2–3 years leading a planning function or team of 2 or more.
  • Multichannel experience across at least three of: DTC e-commerce, Amazon/marketplaces, wholesale or department stores, and physical retail — including personally arbitrating inventory allocation between competing channels when supply was constrained.
  • Fashion, jewelry, or accessories experience strongly preferred; otherwise consumer goods with high SKU counts, seasonality, and frequent newness.
  • Engineering degree (or equivalent quantitative field — operations research, supply chain, statistics). Advanced modeling is a given; SQL, BI tools such as Looker, and scripting (Python or similar) are a strong plus.
  • Ownership of an inventory or open-to-buy budget, with a clear grasp of the working capital and margin implications of planning decisions — able to speak fluently to both sides of a buy call, not just the units.
  • Comfort operating without infrastructure: proven ability to build planning discipline from spreadsheets and BI tools rather than inherit it from an existing system, ideally combined with exposure to what "good" planning looks like at a larger, more mature company.
  • Hands-on by default. We are not hiring a strategist to direct a team; we are hiring the person who builds the forecast, places the reorder, and writes the query.
  • Strong cross-functional influence and fluent English; Spanish is a plus.

What You'll Love About Us

  • Flexible Time Off: Flexible WFH policy (2x per week), unlimited PTO , 401k matching and more
  • Brand Perks: Employee discount; welcome gift card, Birthday Gift Card
  • Office Perks: fully-stocked kitchen with unlimited snacks and beverages.
  • Events: Office lunches; in-office events
  • Other Benefits: Company sponsored parking, fun & friendly company culture
