What you will do (Job Description)
The Director, Digital Therapeutics Sales and Utilization is a key leadership role at Otsuka Precision Health (OPH), responsible for providing leadership and oversight to both the sales and pull-through teams for Rejoyn, a prescription digital therapeutic (PDT) for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). The PDT space is an emerging area requiring someone who is solution-oriented, innovative and resilient. This individual will be a results-oriented leader, accountable for driving commercial success by achieving sales targets and ensuring effective post-sale implementation and utilization. The ideal candidate will be a motivational leader with a strong background in sales, operations, and the healthcare industry, committed to driving both top-line growth and operational excellence.
This role can be remote or based in the Princeton, NJ office. Availability during U.S. Eastern time zone business hours is mandatory. 40-60% of travel is anticipated, depending upon where the individual resides.
Responsibilities- Sales Leadership: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the Rejoyn sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability. Oversee the execution of the commercial market development strategy for Rejoyn across Health Care Institutions (HCIs), HCPs, and other B2B partners. Potential for Player/Coach responsibilities.
- Utilization Leadership: Lead the team driving post-sales pull-through activities – in collaboration with the Operations team – to support the development and delivery of processes needed to facilitate appropriate use of Rejoyn for the appropriate patients.
- Market Access and Payer Engagement: Collaborate with the Market Access team to establish reimbursement and sustainable business models.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including medical, product development, legal, and marketing to ensure seamless execution of the Rejoyn strategy. This includes adhering to all company policies regarding clinical and commercial interactions.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, ensuring alignment across key functions, driving the execution of the field strategy, and delivering results.
- Staff Management: Serve as supervising manager to: the sales team, the pull-through team, and others as assigned.
What we expect from you
Qualifications
- A passionate, inspirational, and influential individual who has an entrepreneurial mindset, challenges the status quo, and can align their activities to a clear vision and strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in sales and/or operations leadership roles within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or digital health industries.
- Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams to meet or exceed targets.
- Strong understanding of the US healthcare landscape, including health systems, and HCPs, as well as payers.
- Demonstrated ability to execute successful commercial strategies.
- Strong emotional intelligence, relationship building, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills and the ability to inspire, coach, motivate and hold themselves and others accountable
- Candidates must be adaptable, results-oriented, and committed to compliance with all healthcare regulations.
