We’re looking for someone with strong management experience, a background in computer science, and experience building 0->1 products. You should understand cloud pricing models, either because you’ve been responsible for the bill in the past or because you were building a product where it was relevant knowledge. You have a solid track record of getting things done, coaching and growing team members, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. Experience managing distributed teams is essential.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships that it builds, the creativity it brings to the table, and the collaboration of being together. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our employees can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with a product partner to iterate on Datadog’s Cloud Cost Management offering
  • Collaborate across your team to plan, execute, measure, and iterate on new and existing features
  • Move fast, using sound technical judgment to make trade offs as needed
  • Coach and effectively manage new and experienced engineering managers
  • Partner with peers to further integrate cost data features across our platform
  • Learn our platform, reuse components where you can, drive the development of new capabilities, and build platform-like solutions when warranted

Who You Are:

  • An experienced product engineering manager with successes and failures under their belt, and are excited about building and scaling new products
  • Someone who has built 0-1 products - experience in a startup environment where you have had to ability to drive product direction would be very attractive
  • You have a deep understanding of the balance between velocity and compromise in feature development, and have worked with varied stakeholders (Finance, Engineering)
  • You’ve built a team before, you’ve grown direct reports into your peers and have effectively managed high and low performers
  • You’re curious, you care about the quality of your work and the health of your team, and you are ambitious
  • Experience with financial products or cost-measuring products would be very helpful
  • You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
