About the Role:

*This role is a New York City based HYBRID position. Candidates must be located in NYC, and willing to come into the office on a hybrid basis, three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).*

Fubo is currently seeking a Director of Site Reliability to manage our global infrastructure and site reliability teams. These teams are responsible for the reliability, scalability, and performance of our global products. This person will bridge the gap between software development and system operations on a global scale, ensuring our products reach our users without friction. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Define and execute the long term vision for infrastructure, cloud architecture, and site reliability in a multi-cloud environment (GCP, Azure, AWS) spanning multiple continents 
  • Manage, grow, and mentor a global team of infrastructure, SRE/DevOps, Managers and FinOps engineers and be a force of proposal for the organization to reach our goals
  • AIOps & Intelligent Observability: Implement AI-driven monitoring and incident response tools to move from reactive alerting to predictive anomaly detection and automated remediation
  • Establish best practices around reliability, observability, and incident management 
  • Champion platform principles across the entire engineering organization. Oversee the building blocks that allow teams to move fast without “breaking” the user experience 
  • Oversee and help the continued design and development of a scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure
  • Ensure our systems are optimized for performance, increased scalability, and cost effectiveness
  • Lead capacity planning and disaster recovery strategy 
  • Lead the incident response process and continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Partner closely with all engineering and product teams to improve system reliability and developer experience 
  • Work with security team to ensure compliance and risk mitigation

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, specifically in an SRE function, with 4+ years of global team management 
  • Future-Proof Mindset: A deep curiosity for the evolving landscape of AI and a vision for how "Agentic SRE" (autonomous system management) is transforming infrastructure
  • Previous experience with a streaming media product, or other large scale, high traffic environment (e-commerce, travel tech, etc.) preferred 
  • Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams 
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • A strong background in distributed systems, networking, and system design 
  • Ability to write code in Golang, or another static language (C++, Java, etc.)
  • Expertise with automation and configuration management tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • Expert understanding of observability and monitoring, incident management, CI/CD and DevOps tools
  • A strong understanding of cost optimization in cloud environments 
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, ever changing environment, with shifting priorities, and a degree of ambiguity at times
  • Ability to manage and grow teams, not only locally, but remote, and across the globe 
  • Enjoy learning new things, teaching new things, and be able to “level up” your teams 
  • Take the initiative in identifying and removing roadblocks 
  • Foster a strong culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, to partner with all levels of the engineering, product, and other organizations

Fubo’s minimum base salary for this role if hired in New York City is $225,000 per year; maximum base salary for this role is $275,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Fubo's equity plan, annual cash bonus plans, unlimited PTO, and a full range of medical benefits. The final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, and other business considerations.
