Position Overview

We’re looking for an FP&A Director (with “Head of FP&A” traits) to own and scale our FP&A function. You will build the company’s performance operating rhythm, increase forecast confidence and cash/runway visibility, and provide executive-level insights that drive decision-making and capital allocation.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and run the company forecasting and planning cadence (monthly forecast, annual budget, long-range plan), including governance, assumptions, timelines, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Build and operate the FP&A performance management system: define KPI definitions and sources of truth; deliver weekly KPI and monthly business review cadences with clear action/decision logs.
  • Partner with GTM, Product, Engineering, and Operations leaders to translate strategy into operating plans, resourcing models, and KPI targets; challenge assumptions and drive accountability.
  • Build and maintain scalable financial models in Causal that connect bookings → revenue → cash, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis (growth, pricing, capacity, headcount, margin).
  • Drive capital allocation and ROI discipline: evaluate investment cases, run spend reviews, define success metrics, and track outcomes vs. business cases.
  • Elevate board/investor readiness: own finance content for board decks and strategic reviews; ensure consistency of narrative, definitions, and data integrity across stakeholders.
  • Improve FP&A systems and processes: enhance tooling, reporting automation, and data definitions; implement forecast post-mortems to improve accuracy and reduce surprises.
  • Lead and develop the FP&A team over time (hire, coach, establish standards for modeling and storytelling).
  • Partner closely with Accounting to ensure clean close-to-forecast workflows, reconciliation, and understanding of GAAP impacts.
 What You’ll Need
  • 10–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A leadership in a high-growth environment (B2B SaaS/subscription strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated success owning end-to-end planning cycles (budget, forecast, long-range plan) and building performance management cadences that drive accountability.
  • Strong command of SaaS metrics and unit economics (ARR, NRR, churn, bookings, CAC/LTV, gross margin, retention) and ability to connect them to the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Executive-level influence and communication: comfortable presenting to CFO/CEO/Exec Team  with clear recommendations and tradeoffs.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills (driver-based forecasting, scenarios, cohort/retention modeling, headcount/capacity planning, ROI analysis); expert Excel/Sheets proficiency and ability to build scalable models in Causal (or similar).
  • Experience improving FP&A tooling/data workflows (Salesforce/ERP/BI), partnering with RevOps/Data to establish metric definitions and reliable reporting.
  • People leadership experience (direct or leading through influence), with a track record of raising standards and developing talent.
  • Builder mindset with strong prioritization and comfort operating in ambiguity; high integrity and attention to detail.
 Why You’ll Love Working Here!
  • Competitive compensation package that includes equity - everyone has a stake in our growth
  • Comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents, as well as a 401(k), life insurance, commuter benefits and parental leave plans
  • Flexible time off policy, empowering you to balance work & life in the way that suits you best
  • Regular Recharge Days, ensuring that you consistently take time to reset
  • A culture that prioritizes collaboration and transparency, as well as internal mobility and growth!
  • A chance to build the backbone of enterprise marketing creation—connecting the world’s most trusted brands to the next generation of AI-driven content workflows

Salary information: The estimated base salary for this position is $180,000 - $200,000 USD.  Additionally, we offer both significant equity and comprehensive benefits. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
