Job Details

The Director of Contracts Management is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving all aspects of commercial contract negotiation, drafting, administration, maintenance, and compliance. The incumbent leads a high‑performing team that ensures contracts are legally sound, consistent with business and regulatory requirements, delivered on time, and aligned with strategic priorities. This role develops and maintains robust contract management frameworks (processes, tools, internal controls, systems) to mitigate risk, ensure compliance with global regulations and standards, and support efficient operations.

In this role you will work directly to develop collaborative partnerships with various departments (legal, sales, marketing, finance, …) for execution on tactical and strategic objectives. While delivering results, this individual serves as a trusted adviser to the commercial functions on operational and strategic objectives while exploiting synergies within their department.

This role has a focus on continuous improvement within each department and cross-functionally.

The ideal candidate must possess a detailed understanding of operational processes, proven continuous improvement skills, operational prowess with strong results orientation, team / cross-functional / matrix / vendor management leadership, system acumen, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an attention to detail.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements global contracting solutions that align with the company’s overall strategy and revenue objectives by engaging internal and external stakeholders to define optimal approaches respecting regional specificities (Direct / Indirect markets, Tender / RFP management, …)

  • Oversee Contract Compliance – Ensure timely, compliant, and efficient contract development, aligned to commercial goals, pricing policies and government regulations. Facilitate processes / reporting to ensure all parties involved in the contract are adhering to their obligations.

  • Partners with Sales / Field Leadership to ensure team alignment and readiness on sales and compliance strategies. Influence and/or direct the organization by establishing exceptional contract management.

  • Analyzes contract performance and financial implications to ensure compliance and risk mitigation, provide strategic recommendations and optimize business processes, advising commercial teams and management of contractual rights, obligations, providing interpretation of terms and conditions identifying solutions.

  • Defines and establishes reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide process transparency globally. Identify best practices and industry trends; Develops action plans to drive continuous improvement. Maintain, Evaluate and Implement tools that drive process efficiency, information transparency and business value.

  • Leads a direct team across multiple regions, including hiring, training, and evaluation of team members, setting goals and objectives, and providing ongoing support and guidance. Fosters a collaborative and high-performing team environment, empowering team members and ensuring accountability.

  • Leads the team to implement legally compliant and company policy adherent processes and documents through the sales and service contract lifecycle in collaboration with cross-functionals stakeholders (including drafting, negotiating, finalizing, maintaining, compliance management and renewal). Ensures contract elements can be consistently supported through order management, fulfillment and revenue recognition.

  • Responsible for creating a robust and effective culture within team and organization with a high focus on customer and employee experience to improve engagement

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships, manages expectations, and resolves conflicts to protect company interests and foster long-term partnerships.

  • Implements and manages contracting and order management tools, systems, and procedures to streamline operations, enhance productivity while providing easy access / reference to stakeholders. Prioritize and implement system opportunities as well as manage corporate defined technology priorities (i.e. - system upgrades).

  • Engages in reviews / audits related to contracting / pricing / ordering / invoicing. Takes responsibility to resolve any issues stemming from org (e.g. - pricing discrepancies) to support of the business.

  • Remain current on key health care and legal updates and trends that would impact contracting and services organizations; actively interacting with operational environment, benchmarks best practices, analyzes, information and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or related field - Required

  • Master's degree in law, business administration, or a related field with emphasis on analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills - Required

  • Professional certification in contract management (e.g., CPCM, CCMP) and / or legal qualifications and / or program management (PMP) can be significant assets. - Preferred

  • 10 years of experience in a customer-facing function (ideally contract management within medical device).

  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations within the matrix, international environment.

  • Min 6 years experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a matrix, direct / indirect and global settings.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.

In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits to its employees, including without limitation, a 401(k) with up to a 6% employer match and no vesting period, an employee stock purchase plan, “flexible time off” for salaried employees and, for hourly employees, accrual of three to five weeks’ vacation annually (based on tenure), accrual of up to 64 hours (annually) of paid sick time, paid and/or floating holidays, parental leave, short- and long-term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and/or health and welfare benefits.

The base salary range for this role is:

$145,549.31-$196,690.94/Annual
