The IT Director provides strategic leadership and operational management of the organization's technology infrastructure across multiple locations. This role ensures reliable, secure, and innovative technology solutions that support KHCC's mission to serve the community while maintaining compliance with nonprofit sector standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Technology Leadership

● Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategic plans aligned with organizational goals and budget constraints

● Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency and program delivery

● Lead technology initiatives that support data-driven decision making and program evaluation

● Manage IT budget, vendor relationships, and technology procurement processes

● Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on technology matters Infrastructure & Systems Management

● Oversee enterprise network administration across multiple KHCC locations, including Windows

Server environments (2012, 2016, and current versions), Active Directory, and cloud-based systems

● Ensure network security, data protection, and regulatory compliance (including HIPAA where applicable for youth services)

● Manage disaster recovery planning, business continuity protocols, and data backup systems

● Direct the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity measures, including firewall management, antivirus protection, and security policy enforcement

● Oversee telecommunications systems, including VoIP platforms (Avaya IP Office, Nextiva) across all sites

Digital Infrastructure & Applications

● Manage web presence, including website maintenance, content management, and access controls

● Oversee email systems (Google Workspace/Google Suite) and collaboration tools (Zoom, Claude, etc.)

● Support implementation and maintenance of program-specific applications, databases, and case management systems

● Ensure integration between systems to streamline workflows and reduce data silos Team Leadership & Support Services

● Supervise IT support staff and coordinate with external consultants and managed service providers

● Establish and maintain help desk operations with clear service level agreements and response protocols

● Train staff across departments on technology tools, security protocols, and best practices

● Develop documentation, policies, and procedures for technology use and support

Asset & Vendor Management

● Maintain comprehensive inventory of hardware, software licenses, and equipment across all locations

● Manage technology asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and secure disposal

● Coordinate with equipment vendors, service providers, and contractors

● Oversee shared equipment repository (cameras, projectors, laptops) with proper tracking systems

● Prepare technology documentation for annual audits and grant reporting requirements

Operations & Facilities Technology

● Maintain technology in computer labs, youth spaces, and program areas

● Manage copier/printer fleet and coordinate with service providers

● Provide remote monitoring and after-hours support as needed for critical systems

● Support multimedia equipment for programs, events, and community activities

Qualifications:

● Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US

● Willing to undergo fingerprinting and background checks in accordance with federal, state and

local laws

● Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

● Minimum 4-7 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

● Strong expertise in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Network

Administration

● Experience with nonprofit technology needs, including multi-site operations and budget constraints

● Knowledge of data privacy regulations and nonprofit compliance requirements

● Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

● Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

● Experience managing vendor relationships and technology budgets

Physical Demands:

● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; climb; walk; sit; handle, or feel; talk, hear, smell or taste. On rare occasions it may be necessary to move quickly, run, etc. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule:

● 35 hours /week + as needed Mo/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri: 7:30am – 4:30pm + as needed.
