About You


We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director, International Content and Growth to oversee our global operations. This is a unique opportunity to lead a diverse, international team in management, creating, translating, and distributing high-quality chess content and identifying strategic opportunities for growth and development. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of global cultures and regional nuances, with a proven track record of successful leadership in international markets.

You are a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, passionate about chess and the global chess community. You understand the power of a unified team and are dedicated to helping every member succeed.


What you'll do

  • Guide and coordinate multiple international teams to ensure seamless execution of content creation and translation efforts. Foster a collaborative environment and empower team members to achieve their best work.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of engaging chess content tailored for international audiences. Ensure high-quality and culturally sensitive translations of published content and user-facing interface copy.
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain strategic partnerships with key individuals and companies across various international markets. These collaborations will be essential for expanding our reach and enhancing our global presence.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on global cultural and regional differences. Apply this knowledge to refine our content strategy, business development efforts, and community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in leading and managing international teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in content and social media team management.
  • Proven ability to lead a diverse workforce in a remote work environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor team members.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with a keen eye for business opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of global cultures and regional market dynamics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
