Who are we hiring? 

The Director, Investor Relations & Treasury will report to the VP, Investor Relations & Treasury and support all three MSG Companies: MSG Entertainment (MSGE), Sphere Entertainment (SPHR) and MSG Sports (MSGS). The Director will assist the Investor Relations team in its role as the interface between the company and the investment community. This role will partner regularly with internal legal counsel, corporate and finance teams, and the corporate PR team in helping to craft the Company’s key financial and operating message to the investment community. In addition, the Director will support the Treasury team in ensuring MSGE, SPHR and MSGS have ample liquidity and the appropriate capital structure to achieve each company’s long-term business objectives. 

What will you do? 

  • Assist in the planning and execution of all aspects of investor relations policies, objectives and initiatives. 
  • Assist in the preparation for quarterly earnings calls (10 annually), including drafting earnings press releases, prepared remarks, and Q&A talking points. 
  • Create quarterly financial reporting package for each of the three MSG companies for use by CFO and SVP, Investor Relations and Treasury. 
  • Regularly analyze each company’s financial performance and forward outlook and provide detail and accurate assessments to the Investor Relations team.  
  • Support the corporate intelligence program, which monitors and reports on sellside equity research, peer financial results, key peer IR messages, industry valuation and industry stock price performance. 
  • Develop and manage relationships with select sell side research analysts and institutional investors. 
  • Assist with the Annual Meeting of Shareholders for each of the three MSG companies, including drafting talking points for the outreach process with shareholders and Q&A for executive management. 
  • Assist in drafting presentations and talking points to ensure executive management is prepared for industry and investor conferences, meetings and events. 
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy of external communications including press releases, regulatory filings, annual reports, the Company’s investor web sites and targeted investor communications. 
  • Support the Treasury team in executing capital market transactions and the ongoing management of liquidity forecasts for MSGE, SPHR and MSGS. 

 

What do you need to succeed?  

  • Bachelor’s Degree Finance, Accounting or equivalent 
  • 7+ years of experience in sell-side equity research, buy-side investing, or investment banking, with a strong track record in financial statement analysis, security analysis, and corporate reporting; Investor Relations experience in a corporate environment is a plus. 
  • Strong knowledge of the current regulatory environment, including SEC disclosure requirements, securities laws, and fair disclosure regulations. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and inspire confidence, trust, and credibility with both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Highly proactive, organized, and methodical, with experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • CFA a plus.

Pay Range
$113,000$200,000 USD
