SimpleCREDIT is expanding its Residential Bridge and Transitional Loan (RTL) platform and seeks a Director of Operations to lead and scale operational and credit processes. This role oversees underwriting workflows, loan execution, and internal operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and scalability. The Director works directly with the founder and senior leadership to build infrastructure supporting growth, risk management, and institutional-grade operational discipline.
Responsibilities:
Operations & Workflow Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end credit process for residential bridge and transitional loans, including underwriting, documentation, closings, and post-funding monitoring.
  • Manage workflow pipelines, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and accuracy across the credit team.
  • Implement and maintain SOPs, loan grading systems, and operational playbooks.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize processes.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the credit operations team.
  • Coordinate across internal teams (legal, compliance, finance, property management) and external partners (title companies, appraisers, contractors).
  • Foster collaboration between credit, finance, and deal execution teams to streamline loan origination and closing.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, lending guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance to maintain documentation standards and audit readiness.
  • Support risk management efforts, including reporting, portfolio monitoring, and process controls.

Platform Development & Strategic Initiatives

  • Identify opportunities to automate, digitize, and scale operations.
  • Drive improvements to loan origination and management systems (LOS/LMS).
  • Develop reporting templates, dashboards, and operational insights for leadership and capital partners.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in private lending, residential bridge, or transitional lending operations, including team management.
  • Expertise in residential bridge, transitional, construction, or rehab lending operations.
  • Deep understanding of credit underwriting processes, loan structuring, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Strong operational, project management, and process design skills.
  • Experience with lending platforms such as LendingPad, Liquid Logics, or similar LOS/LMS.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Bonus: Experience scaling operations in a private lending or real estate investment platform.
