This leader will own Wayground’s awareness strategy across teacher and administrator audiences (new, existing, and churned). They will be responsible for ensuring the brand is visible, relevant, and trusted by educators. Their remit will include user-generated content, social media channels, and performance marketing. The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, with a strong process orientation and the ability to balance storytelling with measurable growth outcomes.

What you'll do...

Awareness & Brand Growth

  • Develop and execute the strategy to increase awareness and engagement among target educator and administrator segments.
  • Define awareness KPIs (reach, impressions, engagement, SOV, brand lift, share of voice).
  • Segment audiences (new, existing, churned) and tailor awareness approaches accordingly.

User-Generated Content (UGC)

  • Build scalable programs to source, curate, and amplify authentic teacher/admin content (e.g., testimonials, classroom use cases, reviews).
  • Establish processes for content quality control, rights management, and repurposing.

Social Media & Community

  • Own and grow the brand’s social accounts (organic + paid integration).
  • Establish a content calendar that aligns with campaigns and product launches.
  • Drive engagement metrics and follower growth, and monitor competitor strategies.

Performance Marketing (Paid)

  • Oversee paid spend across channels (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, programmatic).
  • Manage budgets and ensure campaigns deliver ROI on awareness and lead generation.
  • Partner with analytics to test, measure, and optimize.

Analytics & Process

  • Create reporting frameworks for awareness and acquisition, surfacing insights for the exec team.
  • Implement repeatable campaign processes (briefing, execution, measurement).
  • Drive test-and-learn culture across awareness channels.

Who you are...

  • 8–12 years of marketing experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in performance marketing, social media, or brand building.
  • Data-driven: comfort with campaign analytics, attribution, and awareness measurement.
  • Experience in B2C, education, or mission-driven sectors is a plus.
  • Process-builder with the ability to scale programs in a resource-efficient way.
  • Location: On-site 4 days per week; must be located in New York, USA.

Salary range

$180,000 - $225,000 per annum
