The Director of Marketing leads strategy and execution of branding, solutions marketing, public relations, and demand generation while managing corporate communications and event strategies.
The Director, Marketing is responsible for strategy, management, and execution of key marketing functions including Branding/UVP, Solutions Marketing and Offer Development, Public Relations, and Demand Generation Events. This includes developing strategic plans for each function and managing execution with the marketing team.
Essential Duties
- Work closely with Marketing leadership team to contribute to the definition of the strategic objectives for marketing and build strong working relationships to deliver as a team.
- Define and execute corporate marketing and brand strategy, resulting in consistent branding, messaging, and positioning.
- Oversee national event strategy and execution for conferences and industry events, in collaboration with Demand Gen team and priorities, and support internal events.
- Manage corporate communications including executive communications, messaging development, and PR.
- Develop and manage solution GTM strategy.
- Create and direct market and competitive research and analysis.
- Ongoing collaboration with sales, partner alliances, and LOB leaders.
- Managing agency relationships.
- Manage, build, and lead a strong team by recruiting, coaching, and developing team members.
- Other duties as assigned and directed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, economics, advertising, public relations, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technology or telecommunications marketing, leadership, sales, or advertising in a fast paced, professional environment.
- Experience in leading the marketing/communications functions during merger, divestiture, and acquisition/integrations.
- Proven brand experience.
- Proven event management experience.
- Budget and agency management.
- Experience with marketing automation.
