About Anterior

Anterior is on a mission to transform healthcare administration, making it seamless and invisible so clinicians can focus on delivering care. We’ve built an AI-powered platform designed by clinicians, for clinicians, to simplify administrative workflows and improve patient outcomes. By combining clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology, we’re revolutionizing healthcare operations with responsible AI.

We're growing rapidly and are backed by world-class investors including Sequoia, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), and Neo along with notable angels including the founders of DeepMind, Google AI, and Inflection AI. Learn more about us here.

Anterior is improving the experience of healthcare for everyone. We're working on the cutting edge of using technology to make clinical decision-making frictionless.

We're building exciting tech for huge customers and we trust in the foundations: keep it simple, build strong foundations, and the rest will follow.

About the Role

Anterior is at an inflection point. We've built industry-leading technology that is transforming healthcare, and now need an operator to help scale with the same care we’ve brought to product.

As Director of Operations, your job is to maximize leverage: to make Anterior greater than the sum of its parts. You'll be the force multiplier across the entire organization, building the systems, processes, and connective tissue that enable Anterior to move faster and more effectively as we grow from a tight-knit team to a scaled organization.

You'll work across every function—from product and engineering to clinical operations and GTM—to raise productivity, improve collaboration, and give our expanding teams the tooling and observability they need to operate at their best without losing velocity. As the company grows, you’ll build out a full cross-functional operations function (TechOps, Product Ops, RevOps, Customer Ops, FinOps, People Ops, and beyond).

What you'll do
  • Build the operating system: Design the cadences, processes, and tooling that supports cross-functional collaboration, information sharing, and decision-making.

  • Stand up new functions: For example, build customer operations end-to-end, from billing, staffing, and resourcing to QA, SLA-monitoring, and security.

  • Make our success measurable: design and build the dashboards, metrics, and reporting infrastructure that accelerates Anterior’s growth.

  • Hire and develop the operations team: Recruit, coach, and grow a strong operations function that support GTM, Engineering, Product, and beyond.

About you

A strong candidate will meet several of the following criteria:

  • You have experience scaling a technology company from ~30 people to 100+.

  • You have 3-4+ years of experience leading operations “across the stack” at a high-growth startup.

  • You've managed teams and are known for developing the people around you.

  • You are demonstrably tech-literate. You may not be an engineer, but you are comfortable collaborating with engineers, interacting with code, and understanding technical tradeoffs. You’re already prototyping with LLMs (including for personal projects), wiring up APIs, and rethinking how operations can work in a post-LLM world.

  • You have 2-3+ years of experience at a tier 1 consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or equivalent.

  • You're based in New York (or willing to relocate) and are excited to work in a "default in-person" environment.

If you’re unsure whether this description fits you but you’re confident you’re the right fit for the role, please reach out anyway!

What’s in it for you

This is an opportunity to join a company at a pivotal moment, using cutting-edge technology to have a meaningful impact in healthcare. You'll work with a world-class team, hold significant responsibility, and have the opportunity to learn and grow rapidly.

We take pride in our strong apprenticeship and coaching culture. We expect our early hires to become leaders both within our company and across the industry. You’ll be given a lot of responsibility and the opportunity for rapid growth.

Benefits:
  • Equity package

  • Competitive, top-of-market salary

  • 100% covered health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Catered lunches and a stocked kitchen

  • Commuter benefits

  • Company laptop along w/ tools you need to succeed

  • Learning & development budget

  • Team-building events

  • Flexible PTO
