The Role

We are looking for an experienced deal originator to lead customer acquisition and commercial structuring for hyperscale and large enterprise data center customers. You're an origination professional, capable of managing regulatory, legal, and engineering components, whilst originating, negotiating, and advancing multi-hundred-megawatt transactions across powered land and co-located generation solutions.

Ideal candidates must possess commercial orientation and team leadership experience while understanding the integration of hyperscaler energy solutions.

You will report to our Chief Business Officer, Data Centers.  This is a hybrid role based in West Palm Beach, FL, Chicago, New York City, or Ridgewood, NJ offices.

Key responsibilities will include:

    Customer Development

    • Originate and cultivate a pipeline, advancing onsite energy solutions to close
    • Lead direct engagement with hyperscalers and large colocation providers
    • Develop and manage strategic account plans
    • Advance early-stage discussions through executed term sheets
    • Commercial Structuring

      • Structure integrated energy + land + development frameworks
      • Negotiate pricing structures (capacity charges, standby constructs, hybrid supply)
      • Align commercial constructs with regulatory pathways
      • Cross-Functional Leadership

        • Coordinate with Regulatory, Engineering, M&A, and Finance
        • Drive internal investment committee approvals
        • Maintain disciplined milestone tracking

The Ideal Candidate

    • 10+ years in energy origination, infrastructure development, IPP, or hyperscale commercial roles
    • Experience negotiating PPAs, energy services agreements, or large load service contracts
    • Has closed >100 MW infrastructure transactions
    • Deep understanding of generation economics and grid interconnection
    • Operates with both entrepreneurial drive and institutional discipline
    • Prior experience at a hyperscaler, or with grid-scale gas origination at an independent power producer
    • Strong commercial judgment and executive presence
    • Prepared to travel nationally, up to 50% of the time
