We are hiring a Director, Platform Analytics, to join our team.
As the Director, Platform Analytics, you will:
- Own and scale the analytics data model, including transformation layers and dimensional modeling
- Build, maintain, and monitor reliable production analytics workflows and pipelines
- Partner with Engineering to ensure data quality, resolve source issues, and manage upstream changes
- Define, standardize, and document core business metrics and maintain a centralized metrics catalog
- Design and own dashboards and reporting for operational, strategic, and executive use cases
- Enable self-serve analytics and reduce reliance on manual spreadsheet reporting
- Support cross-functional analytics needs across Growth, Product, Finance, Editorial, and Executive teams
- Improve analytics efficiency, tooling, documentation, and platform capabilities as maturity grows
Essential Qualifications for this position include:
- Professional work experience as a data analyst
- Proven experience designing and maintaining scalable analytics data models, including staging, intermediate, and mart layers (e.g., dimensional models, fact tables).
- Ability to partner effectively with Engineering, Product, Growth, Finance, and other business teams to translate business questions into trusted analytics, metrics, and reporting solutions.
- Experience defining standardized metrics, maintaining documentation and metrics catalogs, monitoring data quality, and reducing manual reporting through automated, trusted analytics.
Preferred Qualifications for this position include:
- Prior professional work experience in a start-up organization
This is a remote work opportunity that is based in the United States. The salary range for this role as it is posted is $130,000 - $150,000 per year. State Affairs offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package to employees.
The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
