Position Overview: 

The Director of PR & Communications will serve as a key member of the Advancement team, leading the formulation and strategy to support The Children’s Village and CV Management Services entities in their communications, social media, and PR goals. The Director acts with strong organization and management, vision and flexibility to increase the profile and reach of CV’s audience.

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in marketing, communications, social media/website or similar with 8 years’ experience in marketing, public relations, and/or social media and website management. Experience researching and developing new digital tools, social media and website management. Experience with video (iMovie, Premiere Pro, or other). Experience with WordPress websites, database management, and Microsoft Office applications required. Experience with InDesign preferred. Solid understanding of communications and public relations strategies and ability to develop and lead campaigns. Ability to lead a dynamic and fast-paced team, including external consultants. Ability to respond quickly to current events or trends in the field when appropriate, including crisis management. Strong communication and organizational skills. Excellent writing and editing skills. Experience with fundraising and/or marketing for nonprofits preferred. Availability to work a flexible schedule when needed. Willingness to travel to, and work in, various NYC locations periodically.
