Director, Product Management (Readiness)
Overview
We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Product Management Director to lead Product Readiness for our Cross-Border Services portfolio. This global role is responsible for driving readiness strategy, governance, and communications to ensure seamless product delivery and sustained business growth.
You will empower cross-functional global and regional teams to deliver exceptional product experiences by ensuring all components-agreements, guides, training, documentation, workflows, and functionality-are in place to activate product changes effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Governance• Lead the intake and product management lifecycle & governance framework for Cross-Border Services.• Align product, technology, legal, and compliance stakeholders to ensure product readiness is embedded in roadmap planning and execution.• Maintain a division-wide methodology for product planning and governance.
Readiness & Communications• Develop high-impact messaging and go-to-market content for internal and external audiences.• Oversee the creation of product guides, training materials, product standards, and bulletins.• Manage global training sessions to support product, customer, and operational readiness.
Stakeholder Engagement• Facilitate internal strategic discussions around product changes and initiatives.• Drive alignment and decision-making across stakeholders on topics such as product terms, standards, customer contracting, and customer onboarding.
Execution & Problem Solving• Identify opportunities for workflow optimisation and automation across product management lifecycle.• Collaborate with partners to implement scalable solutions that enhance efficiency.
Team & Partner Enablement• Promote innovation and excellence across global and regional teams.• Share product knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
About You
You are a strategic thinker with a passion for product management and communications. You thrive in complex environments and excel at translating technical detail into clear, actionable content.
You bring:• Proven experience in product management or communications, with a strong track record of authoring and managing complex product documentation, preferably in the payments industry.• Exceptional writing, editing, and content structuring skills.• Ability to simplify complex processes for diverse global audiences.• Experience creating training materials, management decks, and product bulletins.• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across technical, commercial, operations, and legal teams.• Project management capabilities within your own scope of work.• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Qualifications & Experience• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Degrees in business, communications, or writing-intensive disciplines are advantageous.• Experience in a communication-intensive product management role within digital financial services.• Familiarity with financial services regulatory requirements (e.g. KYC, AML).• Knowledge of cross-border payments and/or foreign exchange is a plus.• Understanding of the product management lifecycle, especially API-based products and solutions.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.• Excellent organisational and self-motivation skills.• Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across global teams.• Experience with SharePoint, Power Automate, MS Teams, or similar platforms.• Demonstrated leadership and coaching experience, including managing product managers.
