Director Product Marketing

This position is fully remote and may be performed from one of the following U.S. states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IN, KS, MA, MI, MS, NC, NV, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX.
The Director Product Marketing will be an innovative, take-charge leader, with an ability to unite and inspire cross-departmental leaders to get things done. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Development team to shape the strategic direction and positioning of Raintree’s releases and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop differentiated and effective go-to-market strategies that drive revenue and adoption for new product launches. This role requires a passion for excellence in commercialization with an unrelenting curiosity to understand what drives Raintree’s ICP, to include a strong blend of product knowledge, marketing expertise, and leadership skills to effectively develop, validate, and communicate Raintree’s value. Additionally, this person will be an advocate for the customer within and across the company, should have an entrepreneurial mindset, thrive in agile ways of working, and must be great at building relationships, driving consensus, and executing flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing stakeholder for commercialization strategy and alignment on all planned releases, including opportunities, roadblocks, timelines, roles/responsibilities, outcomes, and reporting, while fostering an environment of innovation and execution.
- Research, develop, and validate compelling and differentiated product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences for new and existing products and services, supporting the overall product narrative and direction.
- Translate technical features into clear and impactful benefits for customers, creating marketing messaging “themes” for regular release showcases and large industry events.
- Conduct qualitative, quantitative, and competitive research and leverage the analysis to inform product messaging, and positioning to drive growth, sharing insights and next steps with leadership.
- Influence/contribute to the Product Roadmap via research, analysis, and insights on trends and opportunities.
- Provide competitive insights and strategic approaches for Raintree’s pricing strategies across product releases.
- Lead product launches from planning through execution, ensuring successful product releases and driving measurable results.
- Own and drive Raintree’s voice-of-the-customer (e.g. case studies and testimonials) strategy and process, including interviewing clients and aligning with sales on prioritization.
- Prepare talk tracks and messaging approaches prior to major industry events.
- Be the go-to evangelist for all of Raintree’s positioning and differentiations across product, services, partnerships and announcements.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- Ability to build, manage, and influence relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and influence without authority through proven project management expertise.
- A communication expert, both internally and externally, with a passion to lead with the customer at the forefront of every decision.
- 8+ years of professional experience in product marketing, with a proven track record of success in driving product growth and revenue.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple and compelling messaging.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
