About Scrunch

Scrunch, a Sitecore company, is on a mission to bring brands to an AI-first future—where people increasingly rely on LLMs to discover, understand, and act on information that matters to them.

As AI search and conversational agents replace traditional web search and browsing, Scrunch helps marketing teams rethink how their products and services are discovered and surfaced on AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and more—working with AI platforms, not against them. This shift represents the biggest change to marketing since the dawn of the internet.

Today, more than 500 paying brands—including Fortune 500 companies like Lenovo, category-defining brands like Akamai, ADP, Lenovo and breakout startups like Clerk—use the platform.

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to establish and lead Product Marketing as a strategic business capability during a pivotal stage of growth for Scrunch.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who has introduced or matured Product Marketing within organizations where the function, processes, or expectations were not previously well defined. You will assess the business, identify the highest-value gaps, and create the strategy, operating rhythms, and deliverables needed to help Scrunch bring products to market effectively.

As the senior Product Marketing leader dedicated to Scrunch, you will connect Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, Customer Success, Partners, and Sitecore leadership. You will influence product and go-to-market strategy, create structure where it adds value, and translate customer needs, market signals, and roadmap changes into a clear Product Marketing plan that stakeholders can execute.

This is a hands-on leadership role with significant ownership. You will personally lead critical strategic initiatives while helping shape how Product Marketing operates across the business. As the organization grows, there may be opportunities to mentor, develop, and potentially manage Product Marketing talent, making previous people leadership experience valuable.

What You Will Do

Build the Product Marketing Capability

  • Establish Product Marketing as a strategic discipline within Scrunch and clarify how the function partners with Product, Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, Customer Success, and Partners

  • Assess the organization to identify gaps where Product Marketing can create the greatest leverage and business impact

  • Define scalable Product Marketing practices, operating rhythms, decision frameworks, and stakeholder engagement models

  • Operate as both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor, driving execution while helping the organization mature its go-to-market capabilities

  • Mentor and influence teammates across functions and, as the business evolves, potentially support the development or management of additional Product Marketing talent

Drive Product and Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Own and evolve Scrunch product marketing strategy, including positioning, messaging, segmentation, audience definition, and go-to-market planning

  • Partner with Product Management to help define roadmap priorities and navigate changes based on customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market signals

  • Translate product strategy and roadmap priorities into a clear Product Marketing plan that Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, Customer Success, Partners, and other stakeholders can execute

  • Serve as a voice of the market, customer, and buyer in product planning and business decisions

Build Scalable Launch and Release Processes

  • Define and operationalize product release and launch processes across Scrunch and its Sitecore stakeholders

  • Establish a release-tiering framework that aligns the significance of each release with the appropriate level of launch planning, marketing investment, seller readiness, and customer communication

  • Partner with Product and Marketing to translate product releases into compelling campaigns, programs, and market-facing stories

  • Create repeatable processes that improve launch quality, organizational readiness, speed, and measurable impact

Enable Growth and Market Adoption

  • Develop differentiated positioning, messaging, and value propositions for buyers, customers, partners, analysts, and influencers

  • Turn customer, market, and competitive insights into clear business and marketing opportunities

  • Partner with Revenue Marketing and other marketing teams to activate product narratives across campaigns, content, digital experiences, events, and demand-generation programs

  • Use customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and performance data to improve how Scrunch positions, markets, and grows its products

Support Sales and Customer-Facing Teams

  • Partner with Sales Enablement as the Product Marketing subject matter expert, defining the knowledge, messaging, tools, and training sellers need to communicate value effectively

  • Enable Sales, Customer Success, and Partner teams with field-ready narratives, content, proof points, competitive guidance, and launch communications

  • Support strategic customer conversations, executive briefings, analyst interactions, and industry events as a Product Marketing leader and subject matter expert

What We Are Looking For

  • Significant Product Marketing experience in technology, SaaS, AI, Search, Martech, or another fast-moving product environment

  • Proven experience introducing, building, or maturing Product Marketing capabilities in an organization where the function was new or still evolving

  • Demonstrated ability to assess ambiguous business needs, identify Product Marketing gaps, establish priorities, and move from strategy to execution without waiting for a fully defined brief

  • Strong expertise in positioning, messaging, product launches, release management, go-to-market planning, market intelligence, and competitive strategy

  • Experience partnering with Product Management on roadmap strategy, product planning, prioritization, and changes driven by customer or market signals

  • Experience translating product releases and capabilities into integrated marketing campaigns and seller-ready narratives

  • A strong understanding of how Product Marketing supports Sales Enablement through subject matter expertise, messaging, training, tools, and ongoing field partnership

  • Executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and leadership

  • A strong mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, including the ability to turn complex products and ideas into clear, compelling stories

  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or managing Product Marketing talent is strongly preferred. The role may have an opportunity to manage and develop team members as the function grows, but immediate people management is not guaranteed

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills

  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and not every process is already defined

What Will Make You Successful

  • You are a builder. You can enter an organization that has not previously had Product Marketing, quickly understand the business, identify what is missing, and establish the practices that will create the most value.

  • You bring structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy. You know when a repeatable process is needed and when speed, judgment, and direct collaboration matter more.

  • You can move from roadmap discussions with Product leaders to campaign planning with Marketing, seller readiness with Sales Enablement, and customer conversations with Sales or Customer Success.

  • You influence through expertise, judgment, and relationships. You are comfortable leading cross-functional work without relying on formal authority.

  • You can think strategically about category, market, and growth opportunities while remaining willing to write the message, shape the launch plan, build the enablement, and analyze the results yourself.

  • You have the experience and interest to mentor others and potentially manage a team over time, while remaining equally comfortable succeeding as a highly accountable individual leader.

You will have meaningful ownership, close access to decision-makers, and the opportunity to establish a Product Marketing capability with visible impact across Scrunch and Sitecore.
