As the Director of Product, you will play a critical role as Clearwater continues to expand in the investment management space.  You will develop and execute a long-term product strategy and roadmap based on market information and internal collaboration across executives and key stakeholders. You will interface with clients and prospects across the industry to build high quality customer experiences. You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching the product managers on your team and the Product organization at large. In addition, you will drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and others to achieve your vision. 
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, prospects, executives, the Global sales team, and other product managers to define a product strategy and roadmap including prioritizing work and providing justification for decisions.

  • Gain a deep understanding of the customer requirements; identify, and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that drive growth and customer satisfaction 

  • Guide engineering teams to ensure there is a clear understanding of strategy and user needs for development projects 

  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about the roadmap, prioritization, and specific development projects and the value they provide

  • Build a team within the Product organization to execute on your strategy

  • Mentor members of the Product organization and across the company

  • Using evidence-based decision making to drive prioritization; ability to say “no” and explain why in terms stakeholders understand 

  • Considerable empathy and curiosity with a focus on the customer 

Requirements: 

  • Knowledge of investments and investment accounting; experience working with investment managers and the trade management process a plus

  • 10+ years product management experience; 5+ years leading a product organization

  • Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and project management skills 

  • Excellent team and relationship building abilities, with both internal and external parties (engineers, business stakeholders, partners, etc.) 

  • Ability to influence executives, senior leaders, and key stakeholders via diplomacy and tact a must
