Our Transportation Management System (TMS) is at the center of that ambition. Built from the ground up on Stord's modern, vertically integrated platform, it is the operational and financial backbone of our parcel network - connecting our WMS, domestic and international carrier networks, auditing and billing systems, and the broader carrier ecosystem into a unified platform.
Parcel is one of Stord's most important growth areas and a core differentiator. We move significant parcel volume today, and we are investing aggressively to expand our capabilities, decouple our carrier access from our fulfillment operations, and serve more brands across more channels. What Makes This Role Transformational

• You will lead a sizeable, dedicated engineering team - giving you the resources to move fast, build at scale, and execute a multi-year technical vision without having to fight for capacity.
• You will be the primary product partner to the VP of Transportation and their team, sitting at the intersection of product and operations to shape how Stord's parcel and freight business runs and grows. Your roadmap decisions will be felt across the entire transportation organisation.
• You will have direct, ongoing access to Stord's executive leadership - this is a role where your strategy gets heard and acted on, not diluted through layers of management.
• You will own a platform that is live and operational but still very much taking shape - the architecture is modern, the team is strong, and the hardest and most interesting problems are still ahead of you.
• You will own the product direction for a TMS that spans parcel rating, carrier selection, LTL freight management, auditing, billing integration, international shipping, and automated sortation.
• You will lead one of Stord's most important growth initiatives - expanding our parcel capabilities to serve brands directly, independent of our fulfillment network.
• You will hold key external relationships across domestic and international TMS providers, LTL API infrastructure partners, and a growing set of carrier and tracking partners.

What You'll Do:Own TMS Product Strategy and Roadmap

• Define and drive the multi-year strategic roadmap for Stord's TMS, spanning parcel, LTL freight, auditing, carrier management, and international expansion.
• Define how AI capabilities get embedded across the TMS - from carrier selection and rate optimisation to predictive auditing and operational intelligence - and own the roadmap that makes it real.
• Translate executive priorities and business goals into concrete product plans, phased initiatives, and measurable milestones.

Drive Parcel and Freight TMS Growth

• Lead product development for Stord's parcel shipping platform, including API-first parcel services for brands across and beyond our fulfillment network.
• Own the continued build-out of the Freight TMS (LTL), including real-time rating, tendering, tracking, and document management.
• Advance zone-skipping and middle-mile capabilities that underpin Stord's cost and margin advantages in the parcel network.

Stabilize, Harden, and Scale the Platform

• Own the platform reliability, performance, and technical debt roadmap for the TMS in partnership with engineering.
• Define and enforce product quality gates through test plans, acceptance criteria, and clear product-engineering workflows.
• Drive resolution of critical operational issues including complex auditing scenarios, multi-parcel shipment handling, and invoice reconciliation.

Manage External Carrier and Technology Relationships

• Serve as Stord's primary product relationship owner across domestic and international TMS providers, LTL carriers, and tracking partners.
• Lead evaluation, onboarding, and integration planning for new TMS and tracking providers.
• Drive international expansion by evaluating and integrating new carrier and tracking providers across global markets.

Lead and Develop the TMS Product Team

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers and analysts focused on TMS and parcel services.
• Set the direction and priorities for the team, ensuring work is clearly scoped and aligned with the product-engineering workflow.
• Build a high-performance team culture with strong domain expertise, analytical rigor, and deep cross-functional collaboration.

What You'll Need:TMS and Logistics Domain Expertise

• Deep practical experience with transportation management systems, parcel carrier operations, and logistics technology platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of LTL freight operations - rating, tendering, BOL management, PRO assignment, and carrier tracking.
• Understanding of parcel auditing, invoice reconciliation, buy/sell rate structures, and the economics of carrier billing.

Strategic Product Leadership

• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in supply chain, logistics, or operations-heavy products.
• Track record of defining and executing multi-year roadmaps for complex, multi-stakeholder logistics platforms.
• Ability to translate business strategy - revenue targets, margin goals, partnership priorities - into clear, executable product direction.

External Partnership and Vendor Management

• Experience managing external technology vendors, carriers, and integration partners - including commercial and technical dimensions.
• Ability to evaluate, onboard, and contract with new TMS, tracking, and carrier technology providers.
• Exposure to international parcel shipping, including carrier selection, customs complexity, and global tracking providers.

Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Execution

• Experience managing product managers and analysts in a fast-paced product engineering environment.
• Strong executive communication - ability to synthesize complex technical and operational topics into clear strategic narratives.
• Track record of successful product launches delivered in close partnership with engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams.

AI Fluency

• A genuine point of view on where AI creates real value in logistics products - smarter carrier selection, automated auditing, predictive operations - and where it adds noise. We want someone who has thought about this, not someone who will start thinking about it here.
• Hands-on use of AI tooling in your own product development workflow, and a track record of helping your team do the same. At Stord, AI-assisted ways of working are an expectation, not an experiment.
