Lead product strategy and roadmap for AI-driven adtech features within The Machine. Identify generative and reasoning-based workflow opportunities, prototype LLM agents and copilots, collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, and UX, run experiments, define success metrics, and support cross-functional launches and stakeholder communication.

The Machine is the agentic operating system for marketing, built by Code and Theory. It plugs into the tools marketing teams use and turns disconnected workflows into a single intelligent system, connecting brand strategy, creative production, and media performance. The Machine helps power agencies across Stagwell's network and world-leading brands.

We're looking for a Director of Product Management, Data & Infrastructure who will lead the development of The Machine's core services and data ingestion work: the platform foundations that every agent and surface depends on. This role sits at the convergence of AI orchestration, data infrastructure, product design, and workflow innovation, turning conceptual capabilities into scalable, production-ready systems.

You will own high-leverage platform investments, shape how data flows into and through The Machine (ingestion, harmonization, the query layer, and shared context) and help define the foundations the next generation of intelligence features are built on. The ideal candidate combines fluency in AI systems and modern data infrastructure, a sharp product sense, and comfort bridging strategy and engineering.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the roadmap for The Machine's core services, data ingestion, and query/context layers
  • Identify opportunities to make data pipelines, harmonization, and the shared context layer faster, more reliable, and more reusable across agents and surfaces
  • Translate broad problem spaces into concrete feature sets, prototypes, and launch plans
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, and UX to prioritize features and deliver fast, iterative experiments
  • Rapidly prototype ingestion patterns, query interfaces, and data-interactive tooling using sandbox environments and internal frameworks
  • Define success metrics, run experiments, and evaluate performance to inform production decisions
  • Partner with the Machine's AI architecture and Solutions Engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure deployments
  • Work closely with design and engineering to evolve how users onboard data sources and interact with the query layer
  • Act as a connective hub between technical and product stakeholders across Stagwell
  • Present prototypes, findings, and roadmaps clearly to leadership and partner teams
  • Support cross-functional initiatives like new data source onboarding, client implementations, and pilot launches

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Significant product management experience, including a track record of leadership, with data platform or infrastructure products and using AI prototyping tools
  • Proven ability to ship data- or ML-powered products (data pipelines, RAG, or agentic workflows)
  • AI-native professional skills (you build/prototype/scaffold your approach to work using AI tooling)
  • Technical fluency in AI and data tooling and architecture: APIs, vector databases, ingestion/ETL, ontology or knowledge-graph concepts, and orchestration frameworks (LangChain, etc.)
  • Familiarity with data governance, lineage, multi-tenancy, and access control in enterprise environments
  • Comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration, and experimentation-heavy environments – we ship daily
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
