Job Description Summary:

ModMed is hiring a National Sales Director of RCM Sales to lead, manage, and optimize our established national Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) sales organization.

This role focuses on executing corporate go-to-market strategies, driving team performance against assigned revenue quotas, and expanding our market presence across medical practices and health systems nationwide.

Working with established sales infrastructure, dedicated marketing support, and robust product offerings, the National Sales Director will ensure rigorous pipeline management, consistent deal execution, and ongoing professional development for a team of experienced RCM sales professionals.

Your Role:

Sales Execution & Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage an established team of RCM sales executives to consistently meet and exceed individual and regional quota targets.
  • Conduct structured weekly pipeline reviews, deal strategy sessions, and accurate sales forecasting using established CRM tools and metrics.
  • Active engagement in high-value, complex sales cycles—joining enterprise pitches, assisting in deal structuring, and helping close major contracts alongside sales reps.
  • Monitor sales activity against established KPIs, identify operational bottlenecks, and provide targeted coaching to maximize rep productivity and win rates.

Strategic Alignment & Market Expansion

  • Roll out and execute national sales campaigns and initiatives aligned with overall company objectives and defined target specialties.
  • Identify high-yield growth opportunities within assigned accounts and prospect bases to expand market share across our core RCM solutions.
  • Represent the organization at major national trade shows, industry conferences, and executive forums to strengthen key client relationships and brand presence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance

  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, Product Development, and Client Success teams to align client expectations with service delivery and ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Leverage existing sales enablement assets, ROI tools, and training programs to maintain consistent messaging and deal acceleration across the team.
  • Ensure team compliance with sales processes, pricing guidelines, contracting policies, and ethical sales standards.

Key Operational Focus Areas

  • Delivering steady, monthly quota attainment rather than erratic growth spikes.
  • Enhancing rep retention, sharpening deal execution skills, and managing performance against existing standards.
  • Ensuring tight coordination between sales reps, operational leaders, and implementation teams to maintain high client retention.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or related field required; Master’s degree (MBA or MHA) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive healthcare sales experience, with a deep understanding of RCM, medical billing, and healthtech solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience managing regional or national sales teams within a mature, fast-paced sales environment.
  • Proven ability to manage sales teams to predictable, consistent quota attainment in multi-million dollar business units.
  • In-depth knowledge of provider billing operations, revenue cycle workflows, claims processing, and denial management.
  • Strong capability in pipeline management, territory management, and executing established sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, SPIN, Solution Selling).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and contract-negotiation skills with healthcare C-suite executives (CFOs, CEOs, Practice Executives).
  • Fluent in CRM systems (Salesforce), pipeline analytics, and sales enablement platforms.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 30%
