About the Role:

Barstool Sports is seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Revenue Strategy to support and scale our planning and pricing functions. This role will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Content, Production, and Finance to support planning initiatives, streamline workflows, and enhance product offerings. Reporting to the VP, Revenue Strategy, the ideal candidate is a seasoned manager, detail-oriented, and passionate about digital media and advertising operations. This role is based out of the New York office operating on a hybrid schedule.

  • A collaborative team player with a deep understanding of digital advertising, content monetization, and sales/media planning.
  • Organized, analytical, and proactive with a self-starter attitude.
  • Understands how to lead and motivate a team of planners and assistant planners.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where innovation and adaptability are key.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and align stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of Barstool’s pricing, packaging, and delivery strategy to maximize revenue across podcast, video, digital, social, and live event platforms.
  • Partner with Sales and Ad Ops teams to improve inventory management, campaign delivery, and yield optimization.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of new revenue streams and ad products based on market trends and performance data.
  • Develop forecasting models to support revenue planning and business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline operational processes and ensure alignment on revenue objectives.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members across planning, embodying a high-performance yet supportive culture.
  • Participate in cross-departmental initiatives to enhance cross-functional communication and workflows.

Qualifications:

  • 6–8 years of experience in sales/media planning, revenue operations and/or digital media strategy.
  • Strong understanding of digital media, ad tech, and content monetization across platforms.
  • Proficiency with order management systems, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite and Seismic. 
  • Demonstrated success in improving operational workflows and supporting revenue growth through strategic ideation and planning.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-moving media environment.
  • Passion for Barstool Sports, our audience, and our brand voice.

Salary Range: $145,000-$160,000k
