We are seeking a highly organized and strategic thinker to join our team as a Director, Sales Strategy & Operations, responsible for our Fragrance and Personal Care business. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen, with experience forecasting and managing a P&L. They must have a strong understanding of Mass Market dynamics and trade spend. They must be proficient in IRI/ Nielsen data and familiar with Numerator data. They must be able to leverage data and insights to make strategic recommendations both for retailer launch strategy, product launch strategy, and on existing business needs. This person must be a skilled communicator, able to manage channel conflict, and manage multiple stakeholders at various levels within the organization. They must be highly organized and have a proven track record of executing brand and retailer strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for crafting sell in stories that are appropriate for the retailer in collaboration with brand partner
  • Develop and execute retail and brand strategies through distribution, pricing, and promotional plans
  • Ensure all retailers have the best possible assortment mix, addressing any core market gaps
  • Create brand rankers, manage efficient add/deletes, and optimize product mix
  • Oversee OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery of assets needed for the field and troubleshoot any delays/ challenges
  • Analyzing and responding to core brand performance at a detailed level, reacting to changing trends and competitive threats.
  • Develop point of view on macro brand forecasts at a total brand level, able to give direction on key retailer initiatives and overall shape of the plan
  • Partner with Blue Sky and Brand teams to ensure the innovation pipeline and marketing plans are relevant and fits the needs of the brand and retailer.
  • Partner with brand and finance partners to develop and articulate clear price/pack architecture needs
  • Collaborate with Blue Sky and Brand teams to determine the reasonable size of prize for new projects, supporting the completion of the business case for all new projects

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in customer strategy, brand management, field sales/ account management or related field
  • Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities
  • Ability to analyze market trends and react to competitive threats
  • Experience in developing and executing retail and brand strategies
  • Proficiency in POS and category reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results on time
  • Experience in Fragrance/ Personal care adjacent categories

What We Offer   

$160,000/yr - $175,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
