As the Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Wholesale Credit Risk team, you will lead the architecture of hybrid cloud solutions for transactional and analytics workloads. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with dev leads and senior stakeholders to promote innovation and operational excellence. You will be at the forefront of designing mission-critical systems, contributing directly to coding and solution development, and overseeing multiple engineering teams to ensure alignment with business and technology goals. - Lead the design and architecture of mission-critical hybrid cloud systems.
- Directly contribute to coding and solution development, setting a high technical standard.
- Oversee multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business and technology goals.
- Champion best practices in software engineering, security, and risk management.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor senior engineers and dev leads.
- Present technical strategies and project updates to senior stakeholders.
- Prioritize initiatives, balancing urgent needs with long-term strategic objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Formal training or certification on cloud solutions concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
- Mastery of coding in enterprise-grade languages (Java or Python).
- Expertise in transactional systems, analytics platforms, and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong background in risk management, compliance, and secure software development.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work with dev leads and senior stakeholders.
