The Solutions Engineering Director will build and lead the team responsible for onboarding internal agencies and teams across the Stagwell network to The Machine. This role sits at the intersection of data, product, and operations—owning the implementation process that brings The Machine to life inside each agency’s ecosystem.

You’ll translate technical complexity into actionable integration plans, coordinate resources across engineering, product, and agency partners, and ensure each onboarding drives measurable value. The role combines the empathy and clarity of a consultant, the discipline of a project manager, and the rigor of a systems engineer.

The Machine is Stagwell’s AI orchestration platform powering creative and strategic work across the Stagwell network. It unites data, AI, and human insight to help marketers collaborate better, produce more effective work, and act faster. The Machine team operates at the intersection of product, engineering, design, and strategy, building tools that make agencies and brands smarter.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the end-to-end onboarding and rollout process for agencies adopting The Machine
  • Define repeatable playbooks for technical setup, data integration, and team training
  • Collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering teams to ensure smooth implementation and issue resolution
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of Solutions Engineers and Implementation Specialists
  • Establish operational standards, documentation, and metrics for onboarding success
  • Manage resource allocation and prioritization across simultaneous rollouts
  • Understand agency data environments, workflows, and pain points to design tailored onboarding solutions
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for integrations, data pipelines, and permissions
  • Partner with the Product and Data teams to improve tooling, APIs, and configuration systems based on rollout feedback
  • Coordinate with agency stakeholders, Machine leadership, and Stagwell IT/data infrastructure teams
  • Track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality launche
  • Report implementation progress and adoption metrics to leadership
  • Create and maintain onboarding documentation, training materials, and data setup guides
  • Identify and execute opportunities to streamline and scale the onboarding process
  • Feed insights from implementations back into The Machine’s roadmap and development process

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Extensive experience in solutions engineering, onboarding engineering, or implementation management in a SaaS, data, or analytics environment
  • Strong technical fluency in data systems, APIs, and cloud-based architectures (Google Cloud, Azure, etc.)
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from initiation to delivery
  • Experience leading technical teams and establishing repeatable onboarding frameworks
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with creative agency operations or marketing analytics ecosystems preferred
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and designing structure in rapidly evolving environments
