Your New Role
Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for an experienced Director of Tax Technology & Transformation. This position will report to SVP, Tax Reporting & Compliance and play an integral role in WBD's tax function. As a Director of Tax Technology & Transformation, you will be responsible for representing tax in broader finance transformation efforts and for overseeing the development and implementation of technology solutions that support the tax function. Your role will involve working closely with the WBD finance transformation and technology teams, internal tax stakeholders and the tax compliance and reporting co-sourcing team.
Your Role Accountabilities

  • Represent tax (Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Withholding Tax and Transfer Pricing) as part of WBD's multi-year SAP S4HANA implementation working closely with WBD's finance transformation team, technology team, tax workstream leads, third-party SAP tax integration resources and third-party system implementer. Collaborate with other departments within the WBD organization, including finance, accounting, and IT, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of all tax-related information and manage relationships with tax software vendors, external consultants, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Develop and implement tax technology strategies to optimize internal and co-sourced tax operations and improve efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting and compliance. As well as develop and implement tax data management strategies to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax-related data.
  • Identify and assess tax technology risks and opportunities and develop solutions to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Assist in the resolution of tax technology-related issues, including system implementation and data management challenges.
  • Provide guidance and training to other members of the tax team, as well as other departments within the organization, on tax technology matters.
  • Drive and be involved in global projects, interact with cross-functional teams within the organization.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant experience in tax technology, including experience in process design and software implementation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent knowledge or experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of tax and finance systems
  • Strong project management skills including ability to manage large scale transformation efforts

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $145,250.00 - $269,750.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
