With decades-long expertise in the financial services industry and a relentless focus on the future, Curinos technology and analytics ecosystem allows clients to anticipate customer needs and optimize their go-to market decisions in an increasingly competitive market.

Job Description

Curinos is seeking a Director of User Experience (UX) to lead our growing UX chapter within the Product & Technology organization. This leader will set the vision for user experience across our product portfolio and directly manage our team of UX designers, each embedded within an empowered product team.

Reporting to senior Product leadership, this individual will ensure that user-centered design practices are at the core of how Curinos builds products. They will balance hands-on design leadership with people management, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration—partnering closely with Product Managers and Engineers in line with Marty Cagan’s empowered product team model.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the UX chapter: Manage, mentor, and develop our UX designers to elevate their work, ensuring they are empowered within product teams and synergistically collaborating across the design team. Establish career paths, manage performance evaluation, and support professional development.

  • Process Oversight: Define and uphold UX standards, design systems, and best practices to create consistent, intuitive, accessible and client-delighting experiences. UX standards apply to the end-to-end UX process: discovery, research, ideation, prototyping, testing, iteration, and handoff to engineering.

  • Champion user-centered design: Bring user needs, behaviors, and feedback into the product development process; guide teams to test, validate, and iterate on designs.

  • Strategic influence: Contribute to product vision and strategy by ensuring UX perspectives and insights shape the roadmap and long-term investments.

  • Resource Management: Manage UX team talent and workload across business needs; own UX responsibilities within product teams as needed. Establish short, mid, and long-term vision for the UX chapter at Curinos.

  • Contribute hands-on: Serve as both a team manager and an individual contributor—overseeing the UX team while directly owning and executing UX work for one of our product pods.

  • Innovation & Trends: Stay updated on emerging technologies and UX trends to drive innovation and create competitive digital experiences

  • Culture: Build a culture of creativity, inclusion, and experimentation; foster a balance of scalability, speed and quality.

Salary: $180,000 (plus bonus)

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Expertise:

  • 10+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing and mentoring design teams

  • Proven track record of leading UX in complex B2B or SaaS products, ideally with data-driven or analytics-focused platforms

  • Fluency with market-standard UX tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD), prototyping tools, research tools, and familiarity with development constraints (HTML/CSS/JavaScript awareness preferred)

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design leadership across the full product lifecycle—including research, interaction design and data analysis. Please submit portfolio with application

  • Experience owning or evolving a design system, design standards, pattern libraries, and ensuring consistency and accessibility at scale

  • Demonstrated ability to operate across both strategy and execution — pitch design vision, influence roadmap, but also roll up sleeves and execute discovery and design work for a product team

  • Excellent communicator and storyteller, able to influence executives and inspire teams

  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect design decisions to client and business outcomes and product analytics metrics

  • Experience in financial industry preferred

  • Bachelors Degree required
