This role focuses on DRAM Process Development Quality; identifying and mitigating Quality and Reliability risks early, enabling faster delivery of high quality products to market, and preventing customer quality issues on current and future technology nodes.
You will work with Technology Development, Process Integration, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, and Design teams to define potential failure modes, implement effective controls, and ensure quality findings are fed forward to future technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Establish quality and reliability criteria and communicate associated risks throughout technology development and NPI transfers and provide engineering feedback on critical customer issues requiring design, layout, process, or development level solutions
- Partner with Technology Development teams to identify, characterize, and mitigate quality and reliability failure modes for new products and emerging technologies
- Define, validate, and drive specifications, test structures, and parametric limits that reduce known and potential quality and reliability risks
- Identify performance gaps and lead initiatives improving structural, electrical, and reliability margins across products and technologies
- Implement preventive controls, detection methods, and systemic improvements to avoid recurring Quality and Reliability failure modes
- L ead and develop a team of experienced Process Development Quality team members, providing direction, goal setting, coaching, and ongoing professional growth to drive high performance and technical excellence
- Facilitate strong communication across Process Integration, Product Engineering, and Quality teams for key customer and quality issues
- Support root cause analysis and CAPA activities, ensuring findings influence early design decisions, test-vehicle roadmaps, and future technology nodes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Material Sciences or equivalent
- 10 years of fab-related experience, with a focus on Process Integration or Process Development and a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
- Working knowledge of intrinsic reliability mechanisms and associated tests
- Understanding of fab processes, process flows, equipment and manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with electrical specifications, probe testing, and parametric registers
- Knowledge of reliability considerations for CMOS and memory array technologies
- Familiarity with backend test flows and common failure modes
Preferred Qualifications:
- DRAM Process integration or Process development experience
- Strong functional knowledge of materials science and semiconductor device physics
- Expertise in experiment design and data analysis, including theoretical and statistical methods
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional technical projects and deliver results
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to convey complex technical topics clearly
- Demonstrated passion for improving product quality and customer satisfaction
- Strong analytical, multitasking, and independent problem solving skills
