Job Description

This strategic marketing role will shape and drive early lifecycle engagement during the first 24 months for our clients credit card portfolio. The Marketing Program Lead will own end-to-end program strategy, guide integrated marketing plans, and partner across product, analytics, creative, legal, compliance, and external agencies to deliver measurable portfolio impact.

The role requires strong cross-functional leadership and a digital-first approach, with particular emphasis on email, web, and mobile engagement. This individual will oversee campaign execution, optimization, partner communication, portfolio planning, budgeting, and compliance throughout the program lifecycle.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist in developing short- and long-term strategic credit marketing plans, with a particular focus on early lifecycle engagement during the first 24 months.
  • Outline program strategy and provide leadership to cross-functional teams and external agencies implementing integrated marketing plans.
  • Apply a strong digital marketing focus across email, web, and mobile channels to drive customer engagement and program success.
  • Maintain oversight of marketing campaigns, timelines, and key deliverables across credit marketing initiatives.
  • Facilitate and lead strategic and tactical marketing discussions with internal and external partners.
  • Create presentations and supporting documentation for external partner meetings and internal business reviews.
  • Develop and maintain the portfolio marketing calendar.
  • Create and manage marketing budgets, including monthly forecasting and budget reconciliation.
  • Ensure legal, compliance, regulatory, and internal process requirements are properly vetted and secured before program implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor and analyze campaign performance, identify efficiencies, and optimize strategies.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, customer impact, portfolio growth, and measurable results.
  • Share program performance and recommendations with partners, lead strategic discussions on new initiatives, secure buy-in, and ensure high-quality campaign execution in accordance with corporate policies and departmental procedures.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate combines strategic credit card marketing expertise with hands-on program leadership, strong partner management, and the ability to translate campaign performance into actionable recommendations.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic marketing programs within credit cards, financial services, or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Experience owning end-to-end integrated marketing programs, from strategy and planning through execution, measurement, and optimization.
  • Strong digital marketing experience across email, web, and mobile channels.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and external agencies while managing multiple campaigns, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Experience using campaign performance data and customer insights to improve engagement, efficiency, and business impact.
  • Strong presentation, partner communication, budget management, and portfolio planning skills.
  • Working knowledge of legal, compliance, regulatory, and internal review processes for marketing campaigns.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Credit card portfolio marketing experience, particularly in early lifecycle, onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, or usage programs.
  • Experience working within a large financial institution or complex matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading agency partners and securing stakeholder buy-in for new initiatives.

Tools:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Familiarity with digital campaign reporting, performance analytics, budgeting, and marketing calendar tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Additional Information

The starting pay range for this role is $55/ph - $65/ph. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
