The Copywriter, eCommerce plays a key part in the continued positioning of Tommy Hilfiger as an iconic American brand and globally leading retailer of high quality, classic style with a modern twist. Requiring finely-attuned attention to detail and a proactive attitude, this cross-functional collaborator will work closely with partners in marketing, ecommerce, merchandising and design to serve as our digital voice to the consumer, delivering best-in-class product descriptions that combine accuracy with compelling, on-brand copy, highlighting the design details and benefits of each product to engage the consumer and drive conversion.

Responsibilities:

  • Writes accurate, engaging and on-brand PDP copy for 800+ styles per season, with the goal of driving conversion
  • Aggregates, organizes and formats in-depth product knowledge from multiple sources, including internal systems and internal/external teams, to inform copy and communicate value proposition to consumer
  • Proactively liaises cross-functionally with merchandising, design and global teams to understand product intent and obtain necessary assets
  • Proofreads all self-generated copy prior to submission for review and upload to ensure error-free spelling, grammar and format
  • Regularly reviews and fine-tunes cross-functional and copy processes to optimize efficiency
  • Executes seasonal and ad hoc copy uploads to PIM, ensuring error-free execution
  • Conducts daily QAs to ensure product copy accuracy; corrects errors as needed
  • Collaborates with marketing to contribute product knowledge and product-level copy to marketing assets (store signage, email, etc)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years related industry experience; experience working with copy in PIM systems preferred

  • Excellent communicator (verbally and written), with a flawless command of English language and grammar

  • Working knowledge of fashion and garment terminology

  • Ability to write within the Tommy brand voice, adjusting tone to compel various consumer segments as needed

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the capacity to receive and act upon feedback in a constructive, impactful manner

  • Experience working with project information management (PIM) systems to manage PDP copy

  • Goal-oriented and deadline-driven mentality, ability to deliver excellent work on time

  • Understanding of SEO and UX best practices as relates to PDP

  • Passion for style and retail; active participant in the market who brings an informed point of view on current language trends in product marketing

  • Strong interpersonal skills; optimistic, empathetic, curious and open minded

  • Passion for the industry and brandFlexibility to adjust quickly to changes and deliver on tight deadlines

Pay Range:$67,350 - $75,000PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
