Editor (Contract)

Location: This position is remote within the United States.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Editor/Proofreader with strong digital experience to support a unique Template Curation Project. This role will focus on editing, reviewing, and ensuring accuracy across a large volume of templates, contributing to a high-impact dataset for advanced machine learning. This is a freelance role that runs from September 3 until September 30, 2025.

• Review and proofread templates created by other contributors
• Edit and refine template content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to digital standards
• Check and test sheet formulas to ensure functionality and consistency
• Document defects, errors, or inconsistencies, and collaborate with authors to resolve issues
• Ensure content and formatting align with established style guides and project requirements
• Maintain high volume and quick turnaround while upholding quality standards
  

• Proven experience as an editor, proofreader, or content specialist within a digital agency or web-focused environment
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for accuracy and consistency
• Familiarity with sheets formulas and ability to troubleshoot errors
  Ability to adhere to editorial standards and style guidelines
• Experience working with digital content at scale (websites, templates, data-driven content)
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Nice to have:

• Prior experience with content management systems or digital production workflows
  Knowledge of AI tools and/or interest in AI-driven content projects
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

This role is currently not available for hire or work in New Mexico, and Hawaii, USA.
