The Creative Team at Apartment Therapy Media brings our editorial stories to life across Apartment Therapy, The Kitchn, Cubby, and Dorm Therapy. We collaborate closely with teams across the organization to create work that is engaging, useful, and visually distinctive.

We’re looking for a collaborative Editorial Designer to join our team. Reporting to the Associate Art Director, you’ll help bring our editorial stories to life through thoughtful visual design by creating graphics for editorial and social platforms, maintaining and evolving templates, and supporting features and packages across all our brands. This is a tactical design role with opportunities to grow into more strategic design work.

What You’ll Do
  • Design editorial and social graphics for site and social platforms, including templated and original creative
  • Maintain and update templates, keeping content consistent and scalable across brands
  • Partner with the Editorial Operations team to ensure templates are current
  • Support the Creative Team on features, packages, and tentpole projects
  • Assist in sourcing and coordinating illustrators for editorial stories
Skills & Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience as a graphic designer in digital media
  • Strong portfolio showing composition, typography, color, and editorial storytelling
  • Experience working with template systems for scalable editorial and social content
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; experience in Figma strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and implement feedback effectively
  • Collaborative and communicative, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders
  • Positive, proactive attitude that contributes to a supportive and creative team environment

Salary Range: $75,000 - 80,000 annually

The above represents the expected salary range for this role. Ultimately, compensation is determined by level of experience and other job-related factors.
