Summer Editorial Intern
Morningstar's editorial team. We write and publish news on the financial markets and investing along with digestible research content in the form of articles, data visualization, videos and podcasts. Our articles run primarily on Morningstar.com, which millions of readers visit each month to help make sense of the markets, find investment advice, and manage their finances.
Morningstar is a leading provider of independent investment research in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. We function as an independent newsroom separate from the research departments.
As an editorial intern on the Editorial Markets team, you will...
- Help us report on key financial market and economic trends and news.
- Report on big moves in important stocks.
- Write articles based on Morningstar's data and research.
- Work closely with the team's data journalists and editors to hone your craft and meet deadlines.
- Learn to create data-driven charts, tables, and cutting-edge data visualizations to tell a clear story.
- Train in using Morningstar's extensive database of financial and investing information.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office suite including knowledge of Excel and Word.
- The ability and interest to pick up new systems and software.
Nice to have:
Experience with graphic design tools such as Figma, Adobe, and Sketch.
Hours: Monday-Friday 10-6
Length of Internship: June 10th through August 6th, 2024
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $20/hour
