The Publisher Desk is looking for a current student at either a 2 or 4-year college or university to intern with us this summer. The internship will focus on creating content across our owned & operated portfolio of brands. Some of these brands include Sportsnaut.com, BoundingintoSports.com, SnipDaily.com, and TheMix.net (among others). Our content topics range from sports to lifestyle, so please include your interests in your resume or cover letter. 


We’re looking for enthusiastic young journalists to come in with ideas, strong writing skills, and an interest in learning about the digital publishing industry. You will work with our editorial, search engine optimization (SEO), and content strategy teams to meet article deadlines, drive website traffic, and reflect on metrics.


The ideal intern candidate will have some experience writing about sports or lifestyle topics and working with social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. You should also have the ability to turn around clean and concise copy quickly and reliably. Knowledge of SEO is a plus. 

What you'll do

  • Write original articles

  • Work with SEO keywords

  • Edit and update live posts 

  • Attend a weekly strategy meeting

  • Analyze traffic data 

  • Post to social media channels

  • Provide insights on social media trends

Qualifications

  • Have a writing portfolio of articles to share during the interview process

  • Please provide at least two writing samples

  • Prior experience in journalism

  • Bring original topics to the table

  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and writing skills

  • Time management and organizational abilities

  • Stellar communication skills and good attention to detail

  • Paid internship
