Position Overview: 

The Educational Specialist will work as part of the P.R.I.M.E. Leaders Afterschool Program by assisting the Program Coordinator in the design, and evaluation of all after-school program curriculum. Along with the Program Coordinator, the Educational Specialist directly oversees the effective implementation and delivery of lessons, coaching & training of staff, direct oversight of the program’s instructional curriculum, and assessment of the program's impact and effectiveness as it relates to curriculum delivered.

Position Qualifications:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience with curriculum development, project-based learning, youth development principles, literacy, and STEM. Ability to observe, coach, and develop staff. Strong organization, communication and writing skills. Proficiency with educational technologies, such as MSWord and Google. Knowledge of or ability to grasp elementary and middle school developmental stages. Ability to meet deadlines.

Schedule: Monday through Friday from about either 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm
