Job Summary
The Safety & Health Engineer is responsible for leading the implementation of occupational health, process safety, and industrial safety programs within semiconductor manufacturing operations. The role ensures compliance with regulatory, corporate EHS standards and SEMI guidelines, while driving risk-based safety performance across fab construction, installation, and operations.
Semiconductor fabs operate with complex hazards including toxic chemicals, high-voltage systems, radiation, and cleanroom operations, requiring strong technical safety expertise
Safety & Health:
Site ISO14001/ISO45001/ Work safety standardization /RBA certification efforts and maintain continuous compliance against EHSMS standards, as well as continual improvement.
Act as the primary contact at the site for matters concerning EHS audit e.g., site internal audit, Global EHS audit, Registrar audit, and Customer audit, including planning for audit logistics.
Plan and execute regular site EHS management system and compliance audit, and report non-conformance, track CAPAs for all EHS related NCs and ensure they are closed effectively.
Report audit results and continual improvement opportunities to Site leadership.
Coordinate with team to prepare and conduct regular management system review.
Establish and maintain a process to monitor, measure, analyze and evaluate EHS performance and objective.
Establish and maintain process to manage the nonconformity from EHS audits/ inspections.
Incident investigation and corrective / preventive actions.
Risk elimination, improvising engineering, and administrative controls.
Establish and maintain EHS training, communication, and document control process/ program.
Write technical reports based on the interpretation of EHS data, observations, and current regulations regarding inspection findings and recommend corrective actions.
Driving the organization towards best-known/best-in-class EHS practices.
Oversee immediate program implementation for Emergency response preparedness (ERP) and Business Continuity Plan preparedness (BCP), Equipment Safety Buyoff, Mock drills, In House clinic Management, Good Catch, PPE Management, Confined Space Management, Work at Height Management, Live Safe Coordinator, Off the Job Safety, Traffic Control Management, HIRARC and Contractor Safety Management
Statutory Approvals as per Local Laws
EHS Department Budget Preparation & Tracking.
Coordinate and arrange Staff, Contractual Employee Health Checkup as per Local Laws.
