Travel: The position will require 25% domestic travel 

Employment Type: Full time, Temporary

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000

Position Summary: 
The Specialist, Employee Relations & Experience provides essential administrative support within the People Operations team, focusing on addressing employee relations matters and supporting the overall employee experience. The Specialist will assist with documenting and tracking employee relations cases, compiling notes and summaries for investigations, and aiding with the creation of resources and surveys that promote a positive workplace culture. This role will work closely with the Employee Relations team to assist with administrative tasks, while also contributing to initiatives designed to improve the employee experience, such as employee appreciation events and workplace surveys. This is a collaborative position, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide administrative support in managing Tier I employee relations matters such as attendance infractions, post abandonment, time fraud, and motor vehicle accidents. 
  • Assist in documenting and summarizing employee relations investigations by providing notes and collaborating with the People Operations team to ensure proper follow-up. 
  • Support the creation of general employee resources in Workday to assist with Employee Relations and Employee Experience processes. 
  • Help develop and distribute pulse surveys to assess workplace issues, employee trends, and overall employee experience. 
  • Track and monitor the status of open employee relations matters, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up in accordance with organizational policies. 
  • Support and help implement workplace culture improvement initiatives, including employee appreciation events, market visits, and rewards & recognition activities. 
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Employee Relations functions under the direction of the Director, People Operations and Senior Manager, Employee Relations & Experience. 
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Employee Relations to ensure that all administrative tasks related to investigations and employee relations are handled in a timely manner. 
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to workplace culture programs, including the planning and coordination of employee engagement initiatives and surveys. 

Required Education & Experience: 

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, with an emphasis on employee relations or experience in an HR administrative capacity. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (HR, Business, or similar). A Master's degree is preferred. 
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or related HR certification is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Workday experience is a plus. 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices, particularly employee relations matters, including handling grievances and workplace conflicts. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the achievement of business and people-related goals. 
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and best practices. 
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changing business needs and work environments. 

Other: 

  • Must be willing to travel as needed to support workplace culture initiatives or assist with investigations or other people-related tasks across various locations.
