                                                Energy and Power Senior Insurance Specialist

We will count on you to:

Responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and overall satisfaction of an insurance portfolio comprising complex, high-priority accounts within the energy and power sectors. Support both US-based and international clients investing in the US, acting as a trusted insurance advisor by aligning clients’ strategic objectives with Marsh’s products. Develop and deepen client relationships through proactive engagement, ensuring exceptional service delivery, addressing escalated issues, and fostering long-term partnerships. Identify new business opportunities by leveraging market insights, industry trends, a global network, a thorough understanding of client needs, insurability considerations related to specific technologies, and industry background. Expand and diversify Marsh’s product and service offerings, including risk consulting, project management, risk financing, mitigation strategies, and comprehensive insurance solutions tailored to the energy and power sectors. Design and present customized risk management and insurance solutions aimed at reducing volatility for investors, lenders, developers, owners, operators, and other project stakeholders. Promote Marsh’s innovative solutions at an advanced level to foster product development, strengthen market presence, and expand the professional network within the energy and power industries. Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services, aligning solutions with client expectations and operational standards. Provide strategic advice and effective risk management strategies for clients operating within the energy and power sectors, utilizing strong understanding of global and US-specific market dynamics, natural catastrophe risks, and regulatory environments.

What you need to have: 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in International Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field plus ten (10) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the position offered, or a related position. Must have ten (10) years of experience with all of the following: Account management, technical sales, and business development of insurance products within the energy and power sectors, with a focus on expanding client portfolios. Collaborating with senior colleagues and/or project teams to identify key decision-makers, assess client needs, and develop tailored insurance solutions that align with business objectives. Conducting market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, target buyer hubs, and strategize account expansion within global energy markets. Analyzing complex quantitative and qualitative data to develop compelling proposals and value propositions for clients and internal stakeholders. Designing and presenting customized technical and commercial insurance solutions to address current and future client requirements. Utilizing knowledge of international insurance markets, including navigating onshore and offshore dynamics, and an understanding of natural catastrophe risks relevant to the energy sector. Coordinating with diverse stakeholders, including lenders, developers, contractors, and legal advisors, to deliver comprehensive insurance and risk management strategies. Presenting industry insights and tailored solutions to clients. 20% domestic and international travel is required to various and unanticipated company and client sites.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $142,000 - $197,100 per year.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
