Job Description

As the Engagement Manager (Payer Experience), you must possess deep healthcare expertise in the Payer domain. As an Engagement Manager, you will be directly responsible for leading client engagements and mentoring junior staff through their engagements and deliverables. You will have ownership of all deliverables within an engagement and serve as the primary day-to-day contact with clients. Leadership and the ability to be a player/coach are critical characteristics of being successful in this role.

Location preference is Chicago or Dallas, although other locations will be considered if the candidate is open to frequent travel to client locations.



Requirements

Must have a broad understanding of the three market segments independent, Commercial, and Government network configurations, benefit design, awareness of ancillary products, and how they interact with the core product.

Enough content knowledge to own a project with support from a Principal/Partner and present confidently to mid to senior-level clients.

Specialization in one or more fields of healthcare payer delivery, including member service, operations, network, product

Independently leading engagements and being the primary day-to-day contact with the client. Give feedback to senior associates, associates, and analysts.​

Structuring engagement activities, delegating effectively, and coaching junior staff. Serve as the final reviewer for deliverables with a thoughtful, diligent, and critical eye.​

Lead client calls regularly, delegating speaking parts as appropriate.

Strategy development experience is strongly preferred.

Advanced degree preferred but not required (MBA, MHA, MPH).
