The Tech Lead - Data Governance, reporting into the Manager of Data Governance, will be implementing and rolling out the Collibra Data Intelligence platform and quality across Cencora by working closely with business and IT partners. The lead will serve as the SME for Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, Data Quality and data governance concepts.
Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert on Collibra functionality, including Data Catalog and Data Quality features to enable a robust enterprise data governance program.
- Collibra technical expert to recommend best practices and technology to integrate with both cloud and on-prem solutions and databases.
- Establish strong working relationships with key IT teams in Architecture, Administration and Information Security to ensure implementation, maintenance and expansion of the Collibra footprint is compliant, stable and aligned to Cencora and regulatory policies and practices.
- Practical knowledge and application for AI technology and skills to improve data governance activities using Collibra.
- Partner with customers to understand their data governance challenges and needs.
- Conduct interviews with stakeholders from both Business and IT to uncover current data governance issues and identify emerging trends.
- Define current and future states for the Data Governance vision using Collibra.
- Lead efforts to improve data quality through profiling, analysis, and long-term monitoring of the data.
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 to 5 years of relevant industry consulting experience implementing Collibra.
- 2 years of experience working with cloud platforms, network-based API integration (REST/JSON), and deployment automation.
- Experience with Python for custom software implementations in MS OS environments.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and business requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Data Quality, Data Pipelines, Data Orchestration, or Job Control tools.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related working experience is required
Skills
- Knowledge and experience successfully implementing data management processes, including data governance, data stewardship, master data management, data cataloging, data warehousing, ETL, data integration, and business workflows.
- Leadership and communication skills to work with business and analytics leaders to identify and align on solutions to data governance challenges.
- Relevant experience leading whiteboarding /blueprinting, design workshops, and requirements gathering activities.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Kubernetes, Spark, and Hadoop.
- Experience with enterprise security solutions such as LDAP or Kerberos.
- Relevant SDLC experience and skills include developing functional specifications, technical specifications, test plans and scripts.
