Associate Package Engineer
Peloton is seeking an Associate Package Engineer to support various package engineering development and documentation activities. In this role, you’ll support packaging engineering activities, exploring cost savings, sustainability, testing, processes, and specifications. You will interact with Peloton’s cross-functional teams including design, product, engineering, quality, logistics, compliance, and senior leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the design and development of packaging
- Develop and execute packaging tests to meet global compliance regulations
- Create packaging documentation and analysis of specifications
- Support packaging departmental goals of cost savings, sustainability, and overall business
- Support vendor relationships through product development and innovation pipelines
- Lead prototype development for concepts and testing
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and communication within a matrix organization
- Support packaging KPI’s related to costs, sustainability, and quality
- Research and analyze market issues related to packaging
- Domestic and international travel required 10-15% of the time, or as needed by the business
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Package Engineering or similar discipline
- 2+ years of experience within package engineering
- Experience working with global vendors (preferred)
- Experienced with technical packaging programs and drawings (e.g. ArtiosCAD, TOPS, CAPE)
- Experienced with PLM systems (Arena, SAP, Windchill)
- Understanding of package test methods and documentation
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and visually
- Experience in supplier selection/qualification processes
- Solid project management skills; PMP certification preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Jira, Confluence
