What We’re Looking For
LeafLink is seeking an Associate Quality Assurance Engineer to join our New York team who is passionate about working on teams that solve interesting, large-scale problems at a rapid pace. This role will contribute heavily to the buildout and iteration of LeafLink’s existing and emerging systems, powering an ever-expanding set of product offerings. As a member of our engineering team, you will be in a position to have a direct, lasting impact everywhere that technology powers our business.
LeafLink is currently gearing up to tackle a large-scale platform overhaul that will strengthen our position as a technical leader within the industry. As such, this role has the opportunity to help shape and grow this new platform, as well as work within new and growing technologies. It’s a very exciting time to join our engineering team!

This position does not require previous automation experience, though a desire to learn automation is required
What You’ll Do
- Work collaboratively with multiple agile teams to help deliver end-to-end products and features, seeing them through from conception to delivery
- Create comprehensive test strategies that include a mix of testing methodologies like cross-browser, responsive, exploratory, regression, and black box testing
- Evaluate feature requirements for completeness to help your team deliver high-quality features
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and proactively report bugs
- Verify PR, staging, and production builds offering feedback on the resolution of issues
- Collaborate with your teams to understand and report on release risks and mitigation strategies
- Learn Javascript and UI Automation with Cypress through a mentorship and structured learning
- Be able to identify issues and work in a collaborative way to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve effectively
- Move quickly and intelligently - seeing technical debt as your nemesis
Requirements
- 2+ years experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Willingness and motivation to learn and grow through the mentorship of more senior team members
- Experience balancing QA priorities in an agile environment
- Responsive web application and cross browser testing experience
- Experience working cross functionally with developers, designers, and business stakeholders
- A desire to learn UI Automation best practices using Javascript and Cypress
- Practical, thoughtful problem solving
- An interest in the cannabis industry and/or the LeafLink brand
- Familiarity with at least one of the following domains:
- Online Retail and Marketplace
- Inventory Management Systems
- SaaS Software
- Financial Systems
- Responsive Application Testing
- A/B Testing
- Canary and Feature Flagged Releases
- Experience working with JavaScript automation, Vue.js, and REST APIs is a plus!
