Data Engineer
We are seeking a full-time Data Engineer who is capable of building foundational infrastructure for a fast-growing business. Necessary skills for this role are expertise with the AWS ecosystem, proficiency writing production-ready Python code, and exposure to medical data.

At Rightway You Will:
- Write production-level Python, PySpark, and SQL code
- Use AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, and Fargate
- Use Apache Airflow to build batch data pipelines
- Use infrastructure-as-code services such as Terraform or Cloudformation
- Design database schemas in PostgreSQL to optimize data integrity and performance
- Develop and maintain REST and grpc APIs that expose data to our product and engineering teams
Who You Are:
- 2+ years of industry experience
- Have written Python code in a production environment
- Exposure to AWS systems in a product environment
- Experience packaging and deploying applications using containers, Kubernetes, or other serverless architectures
- Has experienced rapidly scaling infrastructure to handle a high volume of data
- Bonus:
- Recently managed AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, and Fargate
- Experience with medical and pharmacy claims data
- Experience with healthcare vocabularies and ontologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
