WHAT WE DO

Qloo is the Cultural AI, connecting and predicting consumer taste across domains including media, entertainment, consumer products, fashion, hospitality and travel. We offer an API to clients and maintain consumer-facing projects. We are funded by investors like AXA, Elton John, Leonardo DiCaprio, Starwood Hotels founder Barry Sternlicht, and others.

POSITION

We are seeking an experienced backend (mid to senior level) developer to help us write software and manage infrastructure with an eye toward the future as we transition and grow. This transition will involve decision making with technology and scale, and as a part of a small team, you will have much creative input. This will require solid teamwork (good communication, no ego, clean development practices) and an open mind toward technologies. Tasks can vary greatly in technology and scope, and there will be a high degree of autonomy. Good problem solving, coding skills and the diligence to work through various AWS services are key.

NEEDS

• years of relevant job experience
• a learning/growth/creative mindset
• experience with various forms of testing, preferably with test driven development
• willingness to develop good Git habits
• proficiency in Javascript
• experience with writing SQL queries
• experience with GCP or AWS

PLUSES

knowledge, experience with:

• Python
• AWS (ec2, security groups and IAM, networking, Cloudformation, Api Gateway, Dynamodb, Elastic Beanstalk, EMR, S3, Lambda, etc)
